You can head to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aa.com\/i18n\/aadvantage-program\/aadvantage-status\/aadvantage-status-match.jsp\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">this landing page<\/a> for more information and to apply.<\/p>\n<p>But on the downside, it&#8217;s not that straightforward.<\/p>\n<p>As with American&#8217;s other status challenges, this one involves the <a href=\"https:\/\/thepointsguy.com\/news\/american-airlines-instant-status-pass\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instant Status Pass<\/a>, which divides the calendar into Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3. You need to accrue a certain number of Loyalty Points every four months (one phase) to extend your status. But this is an explicit offer for eligible AAdvantage members with Delta or United Platinum and above.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than it being a straightforward status match, American will give you temporary status.
