Robbie\u2019s film, directed by Joe Pearlman \u2013 who made \u2018Lewis Capaldi: How I\u2019m Feeling Now\u2019 \u2013 has been billed by Netflix as a \u201cfirst of its kind\u201d film that will \u201cexplore the real human being behind the salacious headlines\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nThe documentary will chart Robbie\u2019s rise to fame as a teen in Take That to his <\/p>\n
\nstruggles with mental health, addiction, his time in rehab and how he recreated himself as one of the world\u2019s most successful solo acts. <\/p>\n
\nLewis, 27, was diagnosed with Tourette\u2019s in his late twenties and recently said it has become so severe he has thought about giving up music as it piles pressure on him which worsens his tics. <\/p>\n
\nRobbie also told The Times all the members of Take That \u2013 Gary Barlow, 52, Howard Donald, 55, Mark Owen, 51, and 53-year-old Jason Orange \u2013 have had their struggles. <\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cAll the boys have mentioned this publicly, so I\u2019m not busting anyone\u2019s privacy. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou\u2019ve got Gaz, who became bulimic and agoraphobic and didn\u2019t leave his house, who forgot how to write songs and slept under his piano. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou\u2019ve got Howard, who contemplated suicide. You\u2019ve got Mark, who ended up in rehab. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou\u2019ve got Jason, who can\u2019t hack it and has just, like, disappeared. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd then you\u2019ve got me. So that\u2019s your case study: there\u2019s something that solidifies and calcifies in those five years \u2013 which is the traditional lifespan of a boy band \u2013 that causes mental illness. It\u2019s five out of five.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
