The \u2018Hunger Games\u2019 actress, 49, who has two children born via surrogacy with her sportswriter husband Max Handelman, 50, said she is intending to keep her looks natural as she heads towards her 50th in February. <\/p>\n
She told UsWeekly: \u201cI\u2019m an all natural beauty. Nothing\u2019s ever gone in here, you can tell. <\/p>\n
\u201cAnd that\u2019s because my self-esteem is really high. I try and focus on my confidence and less on how I look.\u201d<\/p>\n
Elizabeth added about how she takes a holistic approach to her skincare, focusing on \u201chydration, more water, sleep, diet and exercise\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI\u2019ve really come to understand that so much of (skincare) is what\u2019s inside as much as the outside. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cTo me, I find that when I don\u2019t go outside every day, when I don\u2019t exercise, my mental health deteriorates. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cWhen your mental health deteriorates, your self-esteem goes with it. Suddenly, all my habits are out the window.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nEarlier this year, Elizabeth said \u201cageing is a privilege\u201d, telling People: \u201cWe live in a society that loves and values youth and beauty. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI get it. I love looking at beautiful young people too. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI like to remind people, you\u2019re never going to look as good as you do today, right now, because aging is a privilege. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s better than the alternative, right? You want to age, trust me.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nThe actress has been a long-time backer of ageing naturally and in 2019 told Dax Shepard she never plans to get work done. <\/p>\n
\nShe added on the 48-year-old actor\u2019s \u2018Armchair Expert\u2019 podcast: \u201cI\u2019m trying to age gracefully. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cThat\u2019s something I will happily say to everyone like I have not put anything in my face, I\u2019ve never had a needle in my face\u2026 I\u2019m really uninterested. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI feel the way about those kinds of (plastic surgery) doctors as I do about a lot of things, like, you are putting your livelihood and your life into their hands and who knows what could go wrong\u2026 like why am I doing that? <\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd then I\u2019ve also had friends and my sister who like, have faced cancer and have had surgeries and stuff and you\u2019re like, why would I voluntarily put myself under a knife and like anaesthesia and all that? <\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s all so dangerous, is my point.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
