Sandra Mason<\/strong> made the difficult decision to skip her daughter\u2019s wedding day for The Golden Bachelor<\/i><\/a>, and she doesn\u2019t regret it.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy son-in-law said to me, \u2018Mom, the ceremony is eight minutes. The marriage is forever.\u2019 He said, \u2018Go. Go!\u2019 My daughter, she said, \u2018Mom, I found my guy, you go find yours,\u2019\u201d Sandra, 75, told Entertainment Tonight <\/i><\/a>in an interview published on Friday, October 27. \u201cThey were both a little perturbed that I was even considering not going because of their wedding<\/a>. They\u2019d each been married before. She\u2019s almost 51, he\u2019s 53.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sandra was one of Gerry Turner\u2019s contestants on season 1 of The Golden Bachelor<\/i><\/a>. During the October 18 episode, she revealed that the group date<\/a> \u2014 which saw the ladies compete in a pickleball tournament \u2014 took place on her daughter\u2019s wedding day.<\/p>\n

After the competition ended, Sandra explained the day\u2019s significance while chatting with Gerry, 72. \u201cI feel very flattered, but that\u2019s a big event,\u201d he said before pulling out an iPhone to FaceTime the newlyweds.<\/p>\n

Sandra later profusely thanked Gerry for arranging the call and gushed about him further via confessional.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was so sweet of him,\u201d she added. \u201cHe\u2019s always full of these sweet surprises<\/a> and he\u2019s so thoughtful. This man is something different.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Sandra was given the group date rose for her sacrifice, she was eliminated from the competition<\/a> the following week.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe didn\u2019t choose me,\u201d Sandra noted to ET <\/i>about Gerry. \u201cObviously, his connections with my other sister wives<\/a> was just a little deeper, stronger, more starry-eyed than my relationship with him. He followed his heart. Great guy. We got along, but it didn\u2019t turn into love on his part.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gerry\u2019s final three are Theresa Nist<\/strong><\/a>, Leslie Fhima<\/strong><\/a> and Faith Martin<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 and he later confirmed to Us Weekly <\/i>that he did fall in love with more than one person on the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought, \u2018No, that\u2019s absolutely not possible. That\u2019s silly.\u2019 How wrong I was,\u201d Gerry exclusively told Us<\/i> last month<\/a>. \u201cBecause through the course of the journey, I really felt strong feelings for several of the women.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued at the time: \u201cIn retrospect, I realized that in that particular moment, whenever it was \u2014 the setting was such that, \u2018Yeah, it was easy to look at someone and tell \u2019em that you loved \u2019em.\u2019 But once you get through it all and you look back, then you realize that there is just really one person that really meets the standard in all situations that you want it to be.\u201d<\/p>\n
