It didn\u2019t take long for the drama to start on season 13 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey<\/em><\/a>, but the most intense moment in the premiere didn\u2019t come from Teresa Giudice<\/strong> <\/a>and Melissa Gorga<\/strong><\/a>. Dolores Catania<\/strong><\/a> and Jennifer Aydin<\/strong> <\/a>got into a screaming match at the end of the Tuesday, February 7, episode.<\/p>\n \u201cI really wasn\u2019t looking for that,\u201d Dolores, 52, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> about not approaching Jennifer, 45, at the second cast event of the season. \u201cIt had been so long since we were in New York [at the season 12 reunion] I thought, maybe, when I saw her at the roller skating party, that we would just at least say hello to each other, but she kept, like, running away from me. I didn\u2019t expect to speak to her at the next [event], but I didn\u2019t want them left out either, so it just wasn\u2019t the time or place when I wanna speak to somebody about what\u2019s going on. I\u2019m not gonna speak to 50 people before I speak to you. That\u2019s just not how I am. I don\u2019t even respond well to that. So that\u2019s where a lot of our miscommunication came.\u201d<\/p>\n Things escalated when Dolores overheard Jennifer talking about her to Melissa, 43, at a party that marked Dolores<\/a>\u2019 boyfriend Paul \u201cPaulie\u201d Connell<\/strong>\u2019s<\/a> first event on the show. While disagreeing about whether Dolores was a \u201cgood friend\u201d to Jennifer when Margaret Josephs<\/strong> brought up Bill\u2019s past affair<\/a> on camera during season 12, Jennifer declared her castmate \u201cwasn\u2019t f\u2014king nice.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s never been my friend. She\u2019s phony, she\u2019s f\u2014king two-faced,\u201d she said in the premiere to their costars.<\/p>\n Speaking about how she stayed calm during the confrontation, Dolores told Us<\/em>, \u201cWhen you\u2019re in a good place like I happen to be, bringing my cute boyfriend in and he\u2019s so excited and everybody\u2019s having a good time, if there was ever a time for that to happen, it was then because when you\u2019re really happy, you don\u2019t really get that angry about things.\u201d<\/p>\n She added that she tunes out \u201cwhen somebody doesn\u2019t let [her] speak,\u201d comparing herself to Snoopy<\/em> in the Peanuts cartoon.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s like, \u2018Wa, wa, wa,\u2019 when the teacher talks, that\u2019s what I hear. I can\u2019t explain it any other way,\u201d she said. \u201cI just tunnel out. Sometimes I get aggressive or angry, but it wasn\u2019t a time that I wanted to do that. I mean, here\u2019s my Paul walking in and everybody\u2019s embracing him, and I love my friends. I really do. \u2026 I\u2019ve been more upset about not getting along with Jennifer than I even want to admit to.\u201d<\/p>\n Dolores said she \u201cfelt bad\u201d because she did feel like she was a \u201cgood friend\u201d to Jennifer.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s OK to disagree about that. It\u2019s really OK. But I thought we spoke about it and moved on from it,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd then I have a problem when it\u2019s not.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked whether the two women will make amends this season, Dolores played coy, telling Us<\/em>: \u201cStay tuned.\u201d<\/p>\n
