Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> has had plenty of collaborators over the years, but none of them have stuck quite like Jack Antonoff<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since their 2012 meeting, the pair have worked together on 10 albums and a few one-off singles \u2014 and became best friends in the process. \u201cSometimes he sits at the piano and we both just start ad-libbing and the song seems to create itself,\u201d Swift told The New York Times<\/em> in May 2017. \u201cHis excitement and exuberance about writing songs is contagious. He\u2019s an absolute joy. That\u2019s why everyone loves him. I personally wouldn\u2019t trust someone who didn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

The feeling is mutual, with Antonoff describing Swift as a trailblazer. \u201cI\u2019ve seen her change the music industry first-hand,\u201d the Bleachers artist told NME<\/em> in July 2021. \u201cShe\u2019s amazing for being a champion, and making things better for the generations to come. She has a long history of rightly exposing some real darkness in the music industry. And I\u2019m personally thankful for it, outside of our friendship and working relationship, just as an artist.\u201d<\/p>\n

Their connection outside of music runs deep too \u2014 Antonoff was by Swift\u2019s side<\/a> after her April 2023 split from Joe Alywn<\/strong><\/a>, and Swift was on hand<\/a> when Antonoff wed Margaret Qualley<\/strong><\/a> in August 2023.<\/p>\n

Swift and Antonoff first crossed paths at the MTV Europe Music Awards, where they reportedly bonded over their mutual love of the U.K. band Yazoo\u2019s 1982 hit \u201cOnly You.\u201d One month later, they saw each other again at the Grammys nomination concert.<\/p>\n

October 2013<\/h3>\n

The duo released their first official collaboration: Swift\u2019s single \u201cSweeter Than Fiction\u201d from the One Chance<\/em> soundtrack.<\/p>\n

October 2014<\/h3>\n

Swift released her fifth studio album, 1989<\/em>. Antonoff produced the songs \u201cOut of the Woods,\u201d \u201cI Wish You Would\u201d and \u201cYou Are in Love.\u201d In an Instagram post, Antonoff revealed that his favorite moment of \u201cOut of the Woods\u201d comes at the 2:28 mark. \u201cWill one day write an essay on the different production I used on the song + how much working with taylor on it has meant to me,\u201d he wrote at the time. \u201cShe\u2019s a wonderful artist.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOnce upon a time, several eras ago, Taylor Swift assembled a coalition of models, actresses and musicians for the \u201cBad Blood\u201d music video, which premiered at the Billboard Music Awards in May 2015. Some of the featured stars were Swift\u2019s besties, like her to-this-day ride-or-die Selena Gomez and her who-knows-what-exactly-happened-there former friend Karlie Kloss. Swift revealed that \u201cYou Are in Love\u201d \u2014 particularly the line \u201cyou\u2019re my best friend\u201d \u2014 was inspired by Antonoff\u2019s relationship with then-girlfriend Lena Dunham<\/strong><\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ve never had that [in a relationship], so I wrote that song about things that Lena has told me about her and Jack,\u201d Swift told Elle<\/em>. \u201cThat\u2019s just basically stuff she\u2019s told me. Swift released her sixth studio album, Reputation<\/em>, which featured production from Antonoff on the tracks \u201cLook What You Made Me Do,\u201d \u201cGetaway Car,\u201d \u201cDress,\u201d \u201cThis Is Why We Can\u2019t Have Nice Things,\u201d \u201cCall It What You Want\u201d and \u201cNew Year\u2019s Day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift and Antonoff collaborated again on her seventh studio album, Lover<\/em>, which was her first release after her departure from Big Machine Records. Antonoff starred alongside Swift in the Disney+ special Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions<\/em>, which was about the making of the album.<\/p>\n

Swift released Fearless (Taylor\u2019s Version)<\/em>, her first rerecorded album from her Big Machine years. Antonoff produced some of the \u201cFrom the Vault\u201d tracks, including \u201cMr. Perfectly Fine\u201d and \u201cThat\u2019s When.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift dropped her second rerecorded album, Red (Taylor\u2019s Version)<\/em>, which once again featured Antonoff production on the \u201cFrom the Vault\u201d tracks \u2014 including \u201cAll Too Well (10 Minute Version).\u201d<\/a> After the album\u2019s release, Antonoff gushed in an Instagram post that he is \u201cendlessly inspired\u201d by Swift. \u201cNothing better than taylor \u2026 the artist and the person,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

February 2022<\/h3>\n

Antonoff defended Swift after Blur frontman Damon Albarn<\/strong> claimed that she doesn\u2019t write her own songs. \u201cI don\u2019t care if Damon Albarn or anyone likes or doesn\u2019t like something,\u201d he said during an interview on \u201cThe What\u201d podcast. \u201cBut to unequivocally make a statement that isn\u2019t true, that you actually have no idea about, and not to get too deep on it?
