Cher<\/a><\/strong> has admitted that she \u201cnever liked\u201d her voice \u201cthat much.\u201d<\/p>\n The music icon has revealed that she has never been that keen on her own singing voice.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not a Cher fan, but I like doing it,\u201d the 77-year-old said in a new interview with Paper Magazine<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cI just never liked my voice that much. If I had my choice, I probably would have another one, but I didn\u2019t get my choice. I got my mother\u2019s voice,\u201d the Believe singer continued.<\/p>\n Cher then noted that she thinks she has a \u201cstrange style\u201d of singing.<\/p>\n \u201cIt doesn\u2019t sound like a man, it doesn\u2019t sound like a woman. I\u2019m somewhere more in-between,\u201d she said. \u201cI have this strange style.\u201d<\/p>\n The pop singer explained, \u201cI do what you do when you can\u2019t hold a note: I don\u2019t pronounce my Rs. I guess some consonants are hard to sing, so I just gotta leave them open.\u201d<\/p>\n Cher, who released 27 studio albums during her long-running career, added that sometimes the records that became hits weren\u2019t her favorites.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve made so many albums, and some of the ones I thought were as good as I could like an album of mine weren\u2019t hits,\u201d the Grammy Award winner stated. \u201cAnd then other ones that I was not that excited about (were).\u201d<\/p>\n Cher recently released her first holiday album, aptly titled Christmas<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cI like this album,\u201d she told the publication. \u201cWhen I listen to it, I think this worked out.
