Why Did Sutton and Christian Stracke Get a Divorce?<\/h2>\n

The reality star gave rare details about the downfall of her marriage during the RHOBH<\/em><\/a> season 13 premiere, claiming that Christian lost respect for her over time.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen my ex-husband and I got married, we were on equal footing,\u201d she said during a confessional, explaining that she was unemployed after she got pregnant with their eldest child. \u201cMy power diminished \u2013 this became here\u2019s your allowance. I realized, \u2018Wow, I allowed that to happen.\u2019 I will never allow that to happen again.\u201d<\/p>\n

That being said, Sutton reflected on the moment she found out Christian filed for divorce with her costars during season 11, but the scene didn\u2019t make the final cut.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy ex-husband filed for divorce on my birthday,\u201d she revealed in a deleted scene posted by Bravo fan account Queens of Bravo. \u201cI had a birthday party \u2013 a dinner and he came, and I had no idea he had filed. And then the next day he called me. He was flying to Florida and said, \u2018You need to get an attorney.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Sutton went on to note that he had previously moved out of their home before filing for divorce, but she didn\u2019t think they were \u201cseparated forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christian pays the Bravolebrity $300,000 a month in spousal support, according to Bravo Bone Collector.<\/p>\n

\u201cSpousal support \u2013 they come with an anchor,\u201d Sutton said of her large lump sum during the RHOBH<\/em> season 13 premiere. \u201cI\u2019m not going to give that up \u2026 but I don\u2019t want the anchor. I don\u2019t want it. I want complete freedom.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though she wants to be completely free of her ex-husband\u2019s power, Sutton still collects her spousal support because she feels she \u201cearned\u201d the money by working by his side years before their split.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
