Cher hates talking about how happy she is with Alexander Edwards<\/p>\n

The 77-year-old pop icon went public about her relationship with singer Alexander Edwards, 37, in November 2022 and has admitted that while they have a “great” time together, there are times that he has “no idea” what she is talking about because of their 40-year age gap. <\/p>\n

She told Extra: “I hate to talk about how happy I am, but no, we have a great time together. We can talk music. We can talk about everything. He\u2019s a got a great sense of humor, he\u2019s got the cutest son in the world, ever\u2026 We just get each other. Sometimes I\u2019m talking to him and he has no idea who I\u2019m talking about. The other day, I said, \u2018Do you know who, I don\u2019t know, [1940s Hollywood star] Clark Gable<\/a>, [is]?\u2019 Somebody said, \u2018Yes, of course,\u2019 but most of my references\u2026 He\u2019ll look at me and go, \u2018I wasn\u2019t born yet.\u2019”<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, the ‘Believe’ hitmaker – who has son Chaz, 54, with first husband Sonny Bono and Elijah, 47, with second husband Gregg Allman – sparked rumours that she and Alexander were set to tie the knot when she was spotted sporting a large diamond ring but she later admitted that it was simply a Christmas gift that she likes to wear. <\/p>\n

She said: “Because I\u2019ve done it. I\u2019m really happy with Alexander. [Flashes a very large diamond ring.] He gave me that last Christmas. He just wanted to give it to me. Usually I wear it on my right hand because he said, \u2018It\u2019s the right ring for the right woman on the right hand.\u2019”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
