The Grammy-winning singer, 41, has sons Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17, with Kevin, 45, to whom she was married from 2004 to 2007, and declares in her new memoir \u2018The Woman in Me\u2019 she was not a homewrecker when they got together. <\/p>\n
She says in her autobiography: \u201cKevin had a \u2018bad boy\u2019 image. Still, I had no idea when we met that he had a toddler, nor that his ex-girlfriend was eight months pregnant with his second baby. <\/p>\n
\u201cI was clueless. I was living in a bubble, and I didn\u2019t have a lot of good, close friends to confide in and get advice from. <\/p>\n
\u201cI had no idea until after we\u2019d been together for a while and someone told me, \u2018You know he has a new baby, right?’\u201d<\/p>\n
\nKevin had a baby on the way with Shar Jackson when he started dating Britney in 2004. <\/p>\n
\nHe\u2019d been engaged to singer Shar, 47, and had daughter Kori with her in 2002. <\/p>\n
\nShar then gave birth to their son, Kaleb, shortly after the former backup dancer began seeing \u2018Toxic\u2019 singer Britney. <\/p>\n
\nBritney says in her book about confronting Kevin about his family: \u201c\u2018You have kids?\u2019 I said. \u2018You have children? Not only one child but two children?’\u201d <\/p>\n
\nKevin\u2019s love triangle made headlines at the time and Shar came forward to claim they had still been together when he moved on with Britney. <\/p>\n
\nBritney also tells in her book she battled postpartum depression during her bitter custody battle with Kevin. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cKevin tried to convince everyone that I was completely out of control. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cHe started to say I shouldn\u2019t have my kids anymore \u2013 at all.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nBritney finally regained custody of her two boys after she was placed under a conservatorship in 2008 on the back of two involuntary psychiatric hospitalisations. <\/p>\n
\nThe teenagers have now moved to Hawaii with Kevin and his current wife Victoria Prince, 40, and despite being estranged for months from Britney before the move, it was reported they reconnected in August.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
