The \u2018Toxic\u2019 singer, 41, went on the road with the raunchy shows in 2004, which included a segment in which she mimed touching herself to her song \u2018Touch of My Hand\u2019 while wearing a nude bodysuit in a bathtub. <\/p>\n

They came two years after she broke up with Justin Timberlake<\/a>, 42, and says she hated the content so much she prayed to break a bone so she wouldn\u2019t have to carry on the shows. <\/p>\n

Britney says in her new memoir \u2018The Woman in Me\u2019 about her hatred of the tour: \u201cIt was too sexual, for a start\u2026 rough.\u201d<\/p>\n

Britney adds she agreed to push boundaries with her stage show at the time as \u2018Cry Me a River\u2019 singer Justin had left her reeling and \u201cembarrassed (her) publicly\u201d by discussing their sex life in interviews and claiming she cheated on him. <\/p>\n

\nShe said: \u201cMy rebuttal onstage was to kind of go there a little bit,. But it was absolutely horrible. I hated it in the moment. <\/p>\n

\n\u201cI felt like I\u2019d been manipulated into going straight back to work after the breakup with Justin, because it was all I knew. <\/p>\n

\n\u201cThe \u2018Onyx\u2019 tour was a mistake. But in my mind I thought I should just do what I was supposed to do, which was work.\u201d <\/p>\n

\nBritney also brands the tour \u201cstupid\u201d in her book and confesses to praying \u201cevery night\u201d that she would break a bone so she could cancel the remaining concerts. <\/p>\n

\nThe singer\u2019s grim desire was realised when she fell and injured her knee on the set of her \u2018Outrageous\u2019 music video \u2013 forcing her to pull the plug on the last two months of the \u2018Onyx\u2019 tour. <\/p>\n

\nEven though Britney says she hated the gigs, her fans loved the tour \u2013 which was also critically acclaimed. <\/p>\n

\nThe shows \u2013 which were Britney\u2019s fifth tour \u2013 featured nearly 24 of the performer\u2019s greatest hits including \u2018\u2026Baby One More Time\u2019 and \u2018I\u2019m a Slave 4 U\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
