More than 20 years after their relationship ended, Erin Foster<\/strong><\/a> accused Chad Michael Murray<\/strong><\/a> of cheating<\/a> on her at the time with his One Tree Hill<\/em> costar, Sophia Bush<\/strong><\/a>. However, another costar, Hilarie Burton Morgan<\/strong>, argued that Chad and Sophia\u2019s relationship timeline did not overlap with his and Erin\u2019s. So, when exactly did the relationships occur?\n<\/p>\n Chad and Erin dated between 2001 and 2002. They reportedly broke up one year before Chad met Sophia on the set of One Tree Hill<\/em>, although the exact reason for Chad and Erin\u2019s split was never revealed.<\/p>\n Chad and Sophia began a real-life relationship as their characters dated throughout season 1 of One Tree Hill<\/em>, which premiered in fall 2003. The couple\u2019s whirlwind romance led to their engagement in spring 2004.<\/p>\n \u201cI woke up one day and I said, \u2018This is the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with,\u2019\u201d he told MTV of proposing to Sophia at his penthouse in Australia at the time. \u201cThat was probably the most nerve-wracking thing I\u2019ve ever done in my life. I thought to myself, \u2018If she says no, I\u2019ve got 18 floors to jump.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Sophia and Chad tied the knot<\/a> in an oceanfront ceremony in Santa Monica on April 16, 2005. However, they were separated by September that same year. Sophia filed to have the marriage annulled, citing fraud. While we were living together,\u201d Erin said during the October 19 episode. \u201cI\u2019ve moved on though. I\u2019m over it now. I mean, just barely. Just barely over it.\u201d<\/p>\n The next day, Hilarie took to her Instagram Stories to defend her \u201csister\u201d Sophia.<\/p>\n \u201cOoof. Cringe. I got off my red eye flight home and multiple people had sent me this headline. As the person who had a front row seat then? This wasn\u2019t it,\u201d she wrote. \u201cWe were all told you\u2019d broken up which is why our guy was perusing her. Now this is being spun to make my sister look like a brazen harlot.
