Dwayne \u201cThe Rock\u201d Johnson<\/a><\/strong> is not satisfied with his new wax figure at the Grevin Museum in Paris, France. The actor said that he\u2019s asked his team to reach out and ask to change one major part of the figure: its skin tone.<\/p>\n Johnson shared an Instagram reel on Sunday (Oct. 22, 2023) by comedian James Andre Jefferson<\/strong> Jr., who poked fun at the wax figure. \u201cThat\u2019s how Paris thinks he looks,\u201d Jefferson said, sharing an image of the wax figure, which depicts the actor with light skin. \u201cThey turned The Rock into the pebble.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt looks like The Rock hasn\u2019t seen the sun a day in his life,\u201d Jefferson continued.<\/p>\n Embed from Getty Images<\/a> <\/p>\n Johnson, who is Black and Samoan, also shared Jefferson\u2019s video on his own Instagram page.<\/p>\n \u201cFor the record, I\u2019m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris France so we can work at \u2018updating\u2019 my wax figure here with some important details and improvements- starting with my skin color,\u201d he wrote in the caption. \u201cAnd next time I\u2019m in Paris, I\u2019ll stop in and have a drink with myself.\u201d<\/p>\n The Grevin Museum, like Madame Tussauds wax museums in New York City and London, displays wax figures of celebrities. Their figures range from Charlie Chaplin<\/strong> to Nelson Mandela<\/strong> to Leonardo DiCaprio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Sculptor St\u00e9phane Barret<\/strong> created the wax figure of Johnson using photos and videos instead of seeing the star in person, the museum said in a news release on Monday.<\/p>\n \u201cThe teams went to gyms in the hope of finding a man who matched The Rock\u2019s extraordinary measurements,\u201d the news release read<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s true that it\u2019s always impressive to make people of this size,\u201d Barret said in a statement. \u201cWe were lucky enough to find someone who physically matched Dwayne Johnson\u2019s build and height. That really allowed us to get it right.\u201d<\/p>\n Barret said it was difficult to achieve the subtle smirk Johnson gave in the photo he used to create the figure.<\/p>\n
