Jay-Z<\/strong><\/a> rapped that he\u2019s been \u201ctryin\u2019 to give you a million dollars worth of game for $9.99,\u201d so where does he stand on the \u201cLunch With Jay-Z or $500,000 cash\u201d meme?<\/p>\n

\u201cYou gotta take the money,\u201d Jay-Z, 53, told Gayle King in a preview of her upcoming chat with the rap star on CBS Mornings<\/em><\/a>. In the first clip, published Monday, October 23, King, 68, argued that a dinner or lunch with Jay-Z would be a chance for someone to get all his street smarts<\/a> and Wall Street knowledge. With Forbes estimating Jay-Z\u2019s net worth to be at $2.5 billion in 2023, it seems his secrets would be worth $500,000, but the \u201c99 Problems\u201d rapper said that he\u2019s already given them away.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou got all that in the music for $10.99,\u201d he said, referring to the base Tidal subscription (his original \u201c9.99\u201d lyric from \u201cThe Story of OJ\u201d referenced the streaming subscription\u2019s price back in 2017.) Beyonce<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s husband said that taking a dinner over the money would be \u201ca bad deal\u201d and that he \u201cwouldn\u2019t tell you to cut a bad deal.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTake $500,000. Go buy some albums <\/a>and listen to the albums. It\u2019s all there. If you piece it together and really listen to the music for the words, for what it is, it\u2019s all there. Everything that I said was gonna happen happened. Everything that I said I wanted to do, I\u2019ve done. There\u2019s the blueprint<\/a>. The blueprint literally to me and my life and my journey is there already.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Story of OJ,\u201d from 2017\u2019s 4:44, could be an example of Jay-Z freely sharing his knowledge. \u201cI told him, \u2018Please don\u2019t die over the neighborhood \/ That your mama rentin\u2019 \/ Take your drug money and buy the neighborhood \/ That\u2019s how you rinse it,\u2019\u201d he rapped, saying that real estate is a much better investment than anything superficial.<\/p>\n

\u201cI bought every V12 engine \/ Wish I could take it back to the beginnin\u2019 \/ I coulda bought a place in DUMBO before it was DUMBO \/ For like 2 million,\u201d he rapped. \u201cThat same building today is worth 25 million \/ Guess how I\u2019m feelin\u2019? Dumbo.\u201d<\/p>\n
