Monica Garcia<\/strong><\/a> came in hot during her debut season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City<\/em><\/a>, revealing that she was not only Jen Shah<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s temporary assistant<\/a>, but later became a federal witness against the now-imprisoned reality star<\/a>. Monica appeared on Watch What Happens Live<\/em> on Tuesday, October 18, and dished out more tea about Jen\u2019s illegal scheme.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like I need to clarify. Assistant is a very \u2013 you know, I say charity work,\u201d she told Andy Cohen<\/strong><\/a> after he asked her how she found out Jen\u2019s fraud activity. \u201cShe told me how her scheme works and she asked me to be a part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n Andy, 55, and second chair guest Heather McMahan<\/strong> literally dropped their jaws at the news before Monica, 40, admitted how she responded to Jen\u2019s offer. \u201cI said absolutely not and that\u2019s when I reached out to my friend in the Secret Service,\u201d she explained. \u201cI do want to make it clear that I\u2019m not the one who opened a case against her by talking to a friend. That was open for like, 10 years.\u201d<\/p>\n During her oncamera introduction to Bravo fans during the RHOSLC<\/em> season 4<\/a> premiere, Monica alluded that Jen, 50, nudged her to join her wire fraud scheme.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, Jen had fired her assistant and I stepped in to help her. One night Jen asked me, \u2018Do you wanna be rich? Do you wanna make $600,000 a year? All you have to do is put this, this, and this in your name,\u2019\u201d Monica dished during a confessional. \u201cI remember being so weirded out, like, \u2018Wait, what?\u2019 It was very bizarre, and I have a friend in the Secret Service, and I called him. And he said, \u2018Get the f\u2013ck away from Jen Shah, she\u2019s going to prison.\u2019 And she was arrested two months later. And that is how I became a witness with the federal government in her trial.\u201d<\/p>\n
