For the first time since the release of Beckham<\/em> on Netflix, David Beckham\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> alleged mistress, Rebecca Loos<\/strong><\/a>, is speaking out. Rebecca was not happy with how David responded to her 2004 affair allegations<\/a> in the docuseries.<\/p>\n \u201cHe is making himself a victim and he is making me look like the liar,\u201d Rebecca told Daily Mail<\/em><\/a>. \u201cHe\u2019s making me look like I made up these horrible stories<\/a> and that I\u2019m the one who made [his wife] Victoria [Beckham<\/strong>]<\/a> suffer. Poor him. He had nothing to do with it. It\u2019s so awful.\u201d<\/p>\n Nearly 20 years later, Rebecca stands by the allegations that she made about her relationship with David. \u201cThe stories were horrible, but they were true, and he\u2019s the one responsible for all of this,\u201d she claimed. \u201cHe\u2019s the one who\u2019s responsible for his wife suffering. He\u2019s the one that decided to lie to her and say, \u2018We don\u2019t have to tell my wife.\u2019 He made all those choices.\u201d<\/p>\n Rebecca said the part of the documentary that bothered her the most was when David commented about how \u201cawful\u201d it was to see Victoria suffer amid the affair rumors<\/a> in 2004. \u201cHe\u2019s the one that caused the suffering,\u201d she insisted. \u201cIt\u2019s his behavior. If he was going to touch on this time and how difficult it was, it would\u2019ve been really nice for him to say, \u2018Not my proudest time. It was a tough time for us.\u2019 Or something like that. Just a little bit of acknowledgment. Or none at all \u2013 don\u2019t even touch the subject.\u201d<\/p>\n She also admitted that she still hasn\u2019t received \u201cclosure\u201d all of these years later. \u201cIf he had just called me and said, \u2018I am so sorry, how can we fix this?\u2019 things would\u2019ve been so different. But I was made to look like a liar. I felt like I had to continue to defend myself.\u201d<\/p>\n Rebecca came forward with her affair allegations about David in April 2004. She claimed that they had a relationship while she was working as his assistant in the fall of 2003 during his time with Real Madrid. At the time, David publicly denied Rebecca\u2019s allegations.<\/p>\n In the October 2023 Netflix doc, David and Victoria did not mention Rebecca\u2019s name. However, Victoria said that the \u201chardest period\u201d of her marriage to David was when this affair rumor came out. \u201cI can\u2019t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was a nightmare.\u201d<\/p>\n David added that he didn\u2019t know \u201chow [they] got through\u201d that time. \u201cVictoria is everything to me,\u201d he shared. \u201cTo see her hurt was incredibly difficult, but we\u2019re fighters and at the time we needed to fight for each other.
