\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n The Nightmare Before Christmas<\/strong><\/a><\/em> fans shouldn\u2019t be expecting a sequel\u2026 at all.<\/p>\n The fan-favorite stop-motion animated movie just turned 30 years old this past Friday the 13th, and is currently replaying in theaters!<\/p>\n In a recent interview, the director of the film, Henry Selick<\/strong><\/a>, spoke out about the possibilities of a sequel, and he shared an idea he has for a prequel.<\/p>\n Get the scoop inside\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The long process of creating the stop-motion animation wouldn\u2019t deter Henry<\/strong> from making a sequel, but he thinks it is \u201ca perfect movie [that] came out of the perfect time, only to grow into something far bigger over the years,\u201d he tells People<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cI think Tim [Burton]<\/strong><\/a> in particular feels like, why mess with that?\u201d Henry <\/strong>continues. \u201cHe certainly doesn\u2019t need to make more money from a sequel. He has had so many other successes, and so far nobody\u2019s come up with a great idea for a sequel. And I still think that Tim<\/strong> gets to decide. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s any idea that would convince him.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Henry <\/strong>does have an idea for a prequel.<\/p>\n \u201cIt might be more interesting to do a prequel,\u201d he shared. \u201cThere might be a more interesting story there about how Jack became the King of Halloweentown.\u201d<\/p>\n If you didn\u2019t know, there\u2019s an upcoming live concert for the film<\/a>, with Halsey<\/strong><\/a> and original voice actress Catherine O\u2019Hara<\/strong><\/a> both playing Sally, on different days.<\/p>\n Around this time last year, Henry<\/strong> opened up about people crediting Tim Burton<\/strong> <\/a>as the director\u2026<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
