As much as we love all things Hollywood, there\u2019s no denying it can be tricky to keep up with celebrity beauty trends. After all, not everyone has access to glam squads. That said, there is one A-list trend we can most definitely replicate on our own \u2026 not wearing any makeup at all<\/a>!<\/p>\n In 2016, Grammy Award-winning artist <\/span>Alicia Keys<\/b><\/a> started a #NoMakeup campaign in Hollywood, later telling <\/span>Glamour U.K.<\/span><\/i><\/a> for their autumn\/winter 2020 issue that she stopped wearing makeup because she had become \u201caddicted\u201d to it and \u201cdidn\u2019t feel comfortable without it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Though the \u201cGirl on Fire\u201d singer has since returned to wearing makeup in a way that feels right to her, she opened up about her \u201cself-discovery journey\u201d in a <\/span>video posted to Instagram<\/span><\/a> in May 2022, in which she discussed beauty standards, the pressure to look \u201cperfect\u201d and more.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAs you may have seen, I definitely have rebelled, and I had to go all the way over there in order to just find my voice. To discover who I wanted to be and how I wanted to be,\u201d she explained in the clip while talking about her skincare and beauty brand, Keys Soulcare. \u201cAnd you get to decide what makes you, you. I get to create my own beauty standards. So that might be fresh-faced, that might be full-wattage \u2014 whatever that is, it\u2019s whatever feels good for you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Alicia isn\u2019t the only celeb to forgo makeup often, though. From Kim Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> and Sofia Richie<\/strong><\/a> to Cardi B<\/strong><\/a> and Demi Lovato<\/strong><\/a>, some of your favorite stars aren\u2019t afraid to show off their bare faces. Of course, it\u2019s a lot easier to ditch your foundation when you\u2019re working with blemish-free skin. However, that\u2019s not the case for a lot of famous people \u2014 Kim included.<\/p>\n In fact, the Kardashians<\/em><\/a> star has been dealing with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis for many years. For those who don\u2019t, psoriasis can cause flare-ups that lead to scales and itchy, dry patches.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I was 25, I had my first psoriasis flare-up. I got a common cold, and since psoriasis is an autoimmune condition, this triggered it. It was all over my stomach and legs. Luckily, in my apartment complex at the time, my neighbor was a dermatologist,\u201d Kim previously detailed for Poosh<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI showed it to him, and he said to come into the office and he would give me a shot of cortisone and then hopefully it would go away (since it was my first big outbreak). I did this and my psoriasis completely went away for about five years,\u201d the KKW Beauty<\/a> mogul recalled.
