Black Panther<\/em> star Lupita Nyong\u2019o<\/strong><\/a> isn\u2019t immune to heartbreak, but according to an Instagram post she shared<\/a> this week, she hopes her pain can help someone else in the long run.<\/p>\n In an all-text carousel Thursday, Nyong\u2019o began by acknowledging that \u201cthere are much more important things going on in the world right now, and my thoughts are with those who are deeply suffering.\u201d She went on to share that she\u2019s \u201cin a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception.\u201d<\/p>\n This content can also be viewed on the site it originates<\/a> from.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI am reminded that the magnitude of the pain I am feeling is equal to the measure of my capacity for love,\u201d she wrote. \u201cAnd so, I am choosing to face the pain, cultivating the courage to meet my life exactly as it is, and trusting that this too shall pass. I hope it\u2019s true.\u201d<\/p>\n Though Nyong\u2019o didn\u2019t name names specifically, or go into detail about how her trust had been broken by the unnamed party, she has been linked to TV host and journalist Selema Masekela<\/strong> for about a year. In December 2022, in a since-deleted Instagram post<\/a>, she shared a video of the two captioned \u201cWe just click! @selema #thisismylove #nuffsaid.\u201d<\/p>\n True to her word, however, the Oscar winner isn\u2019t letting heartbreak keep her inside: She was spotted out at a Janelle Mon\u00e1e<\/strong> concert<\/a> in Los Angeles Wednesday, with a group that included Joshua Jackson<\/strong>, whose pending divorce<\/a> from wife Jodie Turner-Smith<\/strong><\/a> also recently made headlines.<\/p>\n Nyong\u2019o wrote in her post that she was sharing the update on her romantic life \u201cto keep it \ud83d\udcaf, and hoping that the knowledge of my experience might be useful to someone else out there experiencing the grip of heartbreak who is poised to try and escape from the pain and miss out on the wisdom that comes from it. #Breakup.\u201d<\/p>\n Representatives for Lupita Nyong\u2019o did not immediately return Vanity Fair<\/em>‘s for comment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\nInstagram content<\/h4>\n
