Britney\u2019s less than proud moments<\/a>.<\/p>\nA new revelation covers her \u201cinfamous\u201d time out partying with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.<\/p>\n
Though it wasn\u2019t as wild as the pubic imagined, Britney does delve into some truths \u2014 from how much she drank, to what her drug of choice was during those days.<\/p>\n<\/noscript>The Woman In Me is the title of Britney Spears\u2019 October 2023 memoir. That\u2019s \u2026 not new information. They have both more than moved on.<\/p>\n

(Photo Credit: Getty Images)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nIn her new memoir, Britney is quick to emphasize that these outings weren\u2019t anything like the debaucherous, out-of-control benders that some people assumed.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was never as wild as the press made it out to be,\u201d she writes in her book.<\/p>\n

She did, at the time, have a preferred \u201cdrug of choice\u201d during those days.<\/p>\n

(Photo Credit: Getty Images)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nAdderall is an ADHD medication, one that is available only by prescription and \u2014 sadly \u2014 under artificial scarcity, so that many people who need it cannot easily obtain it or cannot obtain it at all.<\/p>\n
Things were a little different in the mid-2000s, however.<\/p>\n

First of all, this was 2006. Supplies were different, and doctors were more likely to actually prescribe ADHD meds instead of going \u201coh, what about this antidepressant that sometimes helps with ADHD?\u201d<\/p>\n
To be clear, that\u2019s not Britney\u2019s fault or the fault of anyone else who used ADHD meds to party. The medicine isn\u2019t running out because it\u2019s in short supply \u2014 the government limits are the source of the problem. That is by far the most common reason for someone to do any drug. Even if it\u2019s not the right fit for them, their hope is that it will help \u2014 even for a little while.<\/p>\n
Of course, that doesn\u2019t mean that self-medication cannot have serious health (and legal) consequences. It does sound like Britney didn\u2019t overdo it.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
