Britney Spears<\/strong><\/a> has a lot of thoughts about ex-husband Kevin Federline<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s former rap career \u2014 and she\u2019s not afraid to share them.<\/p>\n

Spears, 41, threw some subtle shade at Federline, now 45, taking his rap career \u201cso seriously\u201d in her upcoming The Woman in Me<\/em><\/a> memoir, a source confirms to Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cBless his heart,\u201d she writes.<\/p>\n

During their marriage, Federline released music under the moniker K-Fed. His debut single, \u201cY\u2019all Ain\u2019t Ready\u201d, was released in 2005 with his debut album, Playing With Fire<\/em>, dropping the following year.<\/p>\n

In her book, Spears writes about how the public seemed to be \u201cdoubting\u201d Federline\u2019s career. She remembers wishing that he was more present in their marriage.<\/p>\n

The \u201cToxic\u201d songstress met Federline in 2004 \u2014 the same year she was briefly married to childhood friend Jason Alexander for 55 hours. \u201cI met her at a club [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Spears and Federline met in 2004 and announced their engagement that same year. The UPN series Britney and Kevin: Chaotic<\/em> \u2014 which aired five episodes in 2005 \u2014 revealed the couple\u2019s private September 2004 wedding. Spears and Federline, who share sons Preston, now 18, and Jayden, now 17<\/a>, announced their plans to divorce in November 2006. Their divorce was finalized in July<\/a> of the following year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think I married for all the wrong reasons,\u201d Spears admitted when reflecting on the nuptials during her 2008 MTV documentary. \u201cInstead of following my heart and, like, doing something that made me really happy. I just did it because \u2026 for just, like, the idea of everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following their split, Spears and Federline continued to coparent their boys, but it wasn\u2019t always easy. Spears reveals in The Woman in Me<\/em> that she shaved her head in 2007, in part, due to a disagreement<\/a> with Federline over their kids.<\/p>\n

While Spears has love for her sons, her relationship with Preston and Jayden has since hit a rough patch \u2014 especially after they skipped out on her wedding to now-estranged husband Sam Asghari<\/strong><\/a> in June 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Mom has struggled giving us both attention and showing us equal love and I don\u2019t think she showed enough to Preston and I feel really bad for that,\u201d Jayden told the Daily Mail<\/em><\/a> in September 2022. \u201cWe\u2019ve both been through so much pressure in the past that this is our safe place now, to process all the emotional trauma we\u2019ve been through to heal our mental state.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spears, for her part, responded via Instagram that her love for the boys \u201chas no boundaries\u201d<\/a> and noted she hoped to talk with them in the future.<\/p>\n

Federline\u2019s lawyer revealed in May that he was moving to Hawaii with Preston and Jayden and was looking for Spears\u2019 blessing. Her attorney, Mathew Rosengart,<\/strong> agreed to the move on her behalf<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBritney has never given up hope<\/a> on repairing things with her kids,\u201d a source told Us<\/em> in July. \u201cBut she hasn\u2019t seen them in a long time, and she isn\u2019t exactly sure when she\u2019ll see them again now that they\u2019re moving to Hawaii.\u201d<\/p>\n
