Now the 31-year-old, who has been quietly dating the retired NFL player for two years, is ready to talk \u2014 and sing! \u2014 about her guy. \u201cI am in love, I\u2019m excited to share this side of my life,\u201d the Baskin, Louisiana, native told Audacy<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThat\u2019s weird for me that I\u2019m able to write those kind of songs.\u201d (But don\u2019t expect anything too mushy; the \u201cThings a Man Oughta Know\u201d singer says her love songs will be of the \u201cI\u2019m a strong woman and I gotta man who\u2019s OK with it\u201d variety.)<\/p>\n

Rams and Ottawa Redblacks before retiring in 2022, impressed her with his own ambition and support for hers. \u201cHe knows what it\u2019s like to start from the ground up,\u201d she said. \u201cHe knows what it\u2019s like to have a dream at a very young age\u2026 We understand each other.\u201d<\/p>\n
