While planning a wedding<\/a> in the middle of football season may be hectic for some, Olivia Culpo<\/strong><\/a> exclusively<\/a> tells Life & Style<\/em> that she is \u201ctrying to soak it all in\u201d amid her engagement to her fianc\u00e9, NFL star Christian McCaffrey<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWedding planning is going really well. I feel like it\u2019s all good problems to have. It\u2019s, it\u2019s a lot of moving parts, but I\u2019m really grateful for every, every part of it. And it\u2019s once in a lifetime,\u201d the Culpo Sisters<\/em> star dished to Life & Style<\/em> at the TruBody Brand Refresh Event on Wednesday, October 18.<\/p>\n The former Miss Universe winner, 31, explained that she and the San Francisco 49ers running back, 27, \u201cmade a pact\u201d to \u201ckeep a level head\u201d while preparing for their big day before they went headfirst into the to-do list.<\/p>\n \u201cWe [decided] to remember that the goal of this event is to celebrate love and that love comes first and all the optics and all the things outside of that are secondary. So, we\u2019re just making it about celebrating our love. And honestly, when you frame it as that, there\u2019s less pressure to make everything perfect for the event,\u201d Olivia gushed.<\/p>\n Christian proposed to the model on April 2 after almost four years together by getting on one knee in a classic tuxedo and asking for her hand in marriage. Olivia shared photos of the milestone moment via Instagram and debuted her giant diamond ring.<\/p>\n Much like their engagement, the power couple decided to take the traditional route for their wedding day.<\/p>\n \u201cChristian wanted to get married in a church, which we are. And I don\u2019t want him to have a first look. I want the first look to be walking down the aisle, which I feel like these days is kind of rare,\u201d Olivia tells Life & Style<\/em>, adding, \u201cI also don\u2019t want to sleep in the same bed the night before. The model \u201celevated\u201d her \u201cworkout game\u201d thanks to the system, and her abs and glutes are in the best shape they\u2019ve been \u2013 her waist even went down by two inches!<\/span><\/p>\n As for their post-nuptial plans, Olivia and Christian are \u201ctalking about\u201d raising a family in the near future, With the actress revealing to Life & Style<\/em> that they want the process to happen naturally.<\/p>\n The gorgeous couple started dating in 2019 after they met through mutual friends, but she was hesitant to connect with him because of his occupation.<\/p>\n \u201cThey were like, \u2018Olivia, there\u2019s this guy you really have to meet him.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018No, I\u2019m not dating an athlete. I really just don\u2019t think that\u2019s the right move for me.\u2019 Bad history there.
