Daniel Radcliffe<\/a><\/strong>, once the child star of one of the biggest movie franchises in the world, has carved out an exciting career as an adult, preferring to play eccentric characters over typical heroic characters. He does it with great humor\u2014and increasingly with a jacked physique.<\/p>\n

In a recent Vanity Fair<\/em> interview<\/a>, the actor revealed the real reason he is looking so fit these days\u2014and it\u2019s nothing to do with Marvel.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got buff because I am obsessive and want to,\u201d he said. \u201cYou\u2019ve seen my parents; they\u2019re like insane fitness people. So that\u2019s just been passed on.\u201d (Radcliffe has publicly spoken about his struggles with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), for which he sought treatment through therapy and encourages others to do the same.)<\/p>\n

\u201cBut no,\u201d he added definitively. \u201cNo Wolverine. Flattered, but no.\u201d<\/p>\n

Radcliffe has denied involvement in the X-Men\u2019s imminent debut in the MCU for years, regularly shutting down speculation while promoting his other projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is something that has come up every so often for the last few years and every time it comes up I\u2019m like, \u2018That\u2019s not true, there\u2019s nothing behind that\u2019 and everyone\u2019s like, \u2018Ah he said it might be true!’\u201d He told Jimmy Fallon in 2022. He went on to say that he suspects the reason he is the subject of so many Marvel rumors boils down to one very simple physical trait: \u201cI think it\u2019s because Wolverine in the comics is fairly short \u2013 I think it\u2019s people going, \u2018Who\u2019s a short actor? Him! He could maybe play him!’\u201d<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t worry, though: moviegoers won\u2019t need to wait until the character of Logan is recast to see Wolverine again. Hugh Jackman<\/a><\/strong> is reprising the role one more time in Deadpool 3<\/em>, out next year.<\/p>\n
