Travis Kelce<\/strong> and Taylor Swift<\/strong> had some big adventures over the weekend, with Kelce prompting some to speculate whether he\u2019s looking for a side hustle as a bodyguard on top of his tight end duties with the Kansas City Chiefs.<\/p>\n Fans haven\u2019t missed Kelce\u2019s chivalrous behavior with Swift, poring over footage of the duo on the streets of New York City<\/a>, where Kelce appeared to step in front of one of Swift\u2019s security guards to usher her into a waiting car. For someone who has sparked years of rumors about whether she once left her own apartment zipped inside an enormous suitcase<\/a> to avoid unwanted public attention, recruiting a 6-foot-five NFL player to run interference and provide good conversation almost feels quaint.<\/p>\n Keeping to his previous word that he\u2019d keep his personal life mostly personal, Travis joked about the footage of his date night with Swift on Wednesday\u2019s episode of New Heights<\/em><\/a>, the podcast he co-hosts with brother Jason Kelce<\/strong>.<\/p>\n When Jason asked if Swift\u2019s security had a problem with Travis \u201cpushing them out of the way,\u201d Travis insisted, \u201cI didn\u2019t push them. I placed my hand on the gentleman\u2019s back to let him know I was behind him. If I would have pushed him he probably would have turned around and Tased me.\u201d<\/p>\n As he described it, the vibe was, \u201cGood sir, can you excuse me, I need to get the door, sorry. Thank you. I\u2019m right behind you. I don\u2019t want to startle you, I know it\u2019s your job to keep crazy people away. And if you just randomly get pushed in the back while standing in front of a door, that could probably be a little alarming.\u201d<\/p>\n He described Swift\u2019s security team as \u201cgreat, they\u2019re good people,\u201d and said that his behavior with Swift was no different than anyone he\u2019d take on a date.<\/p>\n \u201cWhenever I\u2019m on a date I feel like, I\u2019m always having the sense of, I\u2019m a man in this situation, I\u2019m protective, yeah, sure,\u201d he said. \u201cYou always have that kind of feeling, that self-awareness, I guess. \u2026 You\u2019ve just gotta know where the exits are.\u201d<\/p>\n He also addressed the dual surprise cameos<\/a> he and Swift made on the week\u2019s episode of Saturday Night Live<\/em>, which was apparently a spur-of-the-moment thing that even the SNL<\/em> staff\u2014including the show\u2019s legendary creator and maestro, Lorne Michaels<\/strong>\u2014didn\u2019t know about beforehand<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to Travis, \u201cWe showed up at SNL<\/em> having the idea of going to support Ice Spice<\/strong>, her and Taylor are good friends.\u201d<\/p>\n He called the sketch he cameoed on \u201chilarious\u201d and said it was a coincidence that there were references to Swift\u2019s newfound zeal for football planned for the show already, and said the studio was \u201celectric.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI blacked out,\u201d he said of the audience reaction to his cameo. \u201cAs soon as they cued to me, the entire place erupted, which was very overwhelming and I\u2019m not even sure if I said anything. I walked off, I said I didn\u2019t say anything at all. They said yeah, you killed it, and I watched it over and I still don\u2019t know if I really said what I was supposed to.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI had such a freaking blast, man,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was a star-studded back room.
