\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n The trailer for Anne Hathaway<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s new thriller has been released.<\/p>\n The 40-year-old Oscar-winning actress stars alongside Thomasin McKenzie<\/strong><\/a> in director William Oldroyd<\/strong>\u2018s new movie Eileen<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Ottessa Moshfegh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Here\u2019s the synopsis: \u201cSet during a bitter 1964 Massachusetts winter, young secretary Eileen (McKenzie<\/strong>) becomes enchanted by Rebecca (Hathaway<\/strong>), the glamorous new counselor at the prison where she works. Their budding friendship takes a twisted turn when Rebecca reveals a dark secret \u2014 throwing Eileen onto a sinister path.\u201d<\/p>\n Ottessa<\/strong> co-wrote the screenplay with Luke Goebel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In an interview from earlier this year, Anne<\/strong> revealed what drew her to accept the role in the new movie despite the \u201cchallenging\u201d script<\/a>.<\/p>\n Eileen<\/em> will be released in theaters in New York City and Los Angeles on Dec. 1 and everywhere on Dec. 8.<\/p>\n
