It\u2019s eating at him.\u201d<\/p>\n
A recent report by Us Weekly said Britney\u2019s book is set to go after Justin \u201chard\u201d. <\/p>\n
But a publishing insider told Page Six the autobiography is \u201cnot a takedown\u201d of anyone. <\/p>\n
\nThey added: \u201cThis is Britney finally getting a chance to tell her empowering story, and it\u2019s nothing more than that.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nAt the time of his break-up with the singer, Justin told Barbara Walters during an interview he had made a pact with Britney not to \u201csay specifically why\u201d they split. <\/p>\n
\nWhen pressed about rumours Britney cheated on him, Justin didn\u2019t try and deny them. <\/p>\n
\nHe instead said: \u201cHonestly, we\u2019re not perfect. I don\u2019t judge anybody.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nBritney also refused to address the rumour when Diane Sawyer asked her in a TV chat what she had done wrong in her relationship with Justin. <\/p>\n
\nThe mum-of-two singer \u2013 who has been worrying fans by posting a series of knife-dancing videos on social media in the wake of her husband Sam Asghari, 29, filling from divorce from her in August \u2013 said: \u201cI think everyone has a side of their story to make them feel a certain way\u2026 and I\u2019m not technically saying he\u2019s wrong, but I\u2019m not technically saying he\u2019s right either.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nJustin was slammed by Britney fans when his chat with Barbara Walters resurfaced as part of the \u2018Framing Britney Spears\u2019 documentary. <\/p>\n
\nHe issued an apology to his former flame amid the criticism, saying: \u201cI am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right. <\/p>\n
\nJustin also said on Instagram he had \u201cfailed\u201d the singer despite his \u201crespect\u201d for her. <\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cI know this apology is a first step and doesn\u2019t absolve the past. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI want to take accountability for my own missteps in all of this\u2026 I can do better and I will do better.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
