In Us Weekly<\/em>\u2018s exclusive clip from the upcoming film, which premieres in theaters on Friday, October 20, Zach (Drew Starkey<\/strong><\/a>) enters Zoey\u2019s (Josephine Langford<\/strong><\/a>) life rather chaotically when he accidentally kicks a soccer ball in her face<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cSorry! That was fully my fault. Are you OK?\u201d Zach asks before checking Zoey for injuries. \u201cThat may leave a mark, do you want me to take you to the health center or something?\u201d<\/p>\n

Zoey \u2014 who questions love \u2014 isn\u2019t impressed when she crosses paths<\/a> with the popular jock. \u201cYou know the school has a soccer field, right?\u201d she notes before Zach apologizes again.<\/p>\n

Her friend Elle (Mallori Johnson<\/strong>) lightens the mood by quickly finding the humor in the situation, joking, \u201cYou just had Zach MacLaren\u2019s ball in your face.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Other Zoey<\/em> follows college student Zoey (Langford) after she ends up in a love triangle following a case of mistaken identity<\/a>. She has to pretend to be Zach\u2019s girlfriend \u2014 who is also named Zoey \u2014 when she causes an accident that makes him temporarily forget the last few weeks. Things get a bit more complicated when Zoey starts to wonder if his cousin Miles (Archie Renaux<\/strong><\/a>) is The One for her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Zoey has chemistry with both Zach and Miles. And we just ensured that every scene with both actors was just really good and would lead you down that path,\u201d she shared. \u201cSo I think it all is just in the great performances that Josephine, Drew and Archie gave. The performances within the scenes were just all so good. I think that\u2019s what could lead you down both paths.\u201d<\/p>\n

Langford, 26, rose to stardom for her role as Tessa Young in the After<\/em> film series<\/a>. Starkey, 30, appeared in movies such as Love, Simon<\/em> and The Hate U Give<\/em> before developing a large fanbase due to his performance as Rafe Cameron<\/a> on Netflix\u2019s Outer Banks<\/em><\/a>. Renaux, 25, stars as Mal in the streaming service\u2019s Shadow and Bone series.<\/p>\n
