\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Paul McCartney<\/strong><\/a> is spilling the tea about The Beatles<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 time spent with singer and activist Yoko Ono<\/strong><\/a>, who was married to the late John Lennon<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n During an episode of his McCartney: A Life in Lyrics<\/em> podcast, the legendary 81-year-old musician opened up about how the band felt<\/a> about Yoko<\/strong>, who frequently joined them for recording sessions back in the day. <\/p>\n It turns out, there was some tension there. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out what he said\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n He recalled to poet Paul Muldoon<\/strong> that these sessions with Yoko <\/strong>came at a time when the band was \u201cheading toward\u201d a breakup while recording their 1968 ninth studio album, The White Album<\/em>. <\/p>\n \u201cJohn <\/strong>and Yoko <\/strong>had got together and that was bound to have an effect on the dynamics of the group,\u201d he said. \u201cThings like Yoko <\/strong>being literally in the middle of the recording session [were] something you had to deal with.\u201d<\/p>\n Paul <\/strong>remembered, \u201cThe idea was that if John <\/strong>wanted this to happen, then it should happen. There\u2019s no reason why not.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnything that disturbs us, is disturbing,\u201d he explained. <\/p>\n The singer and guitarist noted that although the rest of the band didn\u2019t protest, they weren\u2019t happy about the situation. <\/p>\n \u201cWe would allow this and not make a fuss,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd yet at the same time, I don\u2019t think any of us particularly liked it. It was an interference in the workplace. We had a way we worked. The four of us worked with George Martin<\/strong>. And that was basically it. And we\u2019d always done it like that.
