Friday the 13th got even spookier<\/a>, courtesy of Nandi Bushell<\/strong> and Josh Brolin<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bushell \u2013 the 13-year-old drumming superstar, vlogger and Dave Grohl<\/strong><\/a> BFF \u2013 commemorated the superstitious holiday by releasing an original song, just in time for Halloween<\/a>. \u201cSweet Nightmares\u201d sees the teen incorporate her love of metal with infectious hip-hop inspired vocals that show a surprisingly political mind from this young girl. \u201cA cautionary tale \/ Will history prevail \/ When leaders are liars their morales will fail,\u201d she sings. \u201cBad to the bone \/ Just leave me alone \/ Watch them just sit there, these vultures atone.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the accompanying black-and-white video, the gothed-out<\/a> Bushell plays all the instruments while an unknown person in a plague doctor mask stalks her. The video also includes a few close-up shots of Brolin, 55, his eyes growing black like Bushell\u2019s do whenever they say \u201cRun\u201d on the chorus.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s somewhat clear who she is telling to run. \u201cOne rule for them \/ Another for us \/ Abusing their power enough is enough,\u201d she sings towards the end. \u201cThese four walls, are crushing me \/ The panic sets in, I want to be free.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe lyrics were mostly inspired by the nightmares I was having at the time,\u201d Bushell told Spin<\/em> <\/a>when discussing the song. \u201cSo, \u2018Say goodbye like you mean it and don\u2019t you ever look back,\u2019 that\u2019s towards the monster in my nightmares. \u2018Say goodbye like you mean it\u2019 \u2013 because it\u2019s the last time they\u2019re going to be there. And \u2018Don\u2019t you ever look back\u2019 because they\u2019re getting away forever, so they shouldn\u2019t look back. And then some of the lyrics, like \u2018Empires of a sin,\u2019 I thought they sounded really cool and scary<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
