\u201cBelief\u201d is an interesting concept: It\u2019s trusting that something exists, even if its reality hasn\u2019t necessarily been proven to you. Music icon Cher<\/strong><\/a>, as we all know, believes in life after love, as detailed in her track \u201cBelieve\u201d\u2014but she\u2019s not living it right now, because, of course, she\u2019s currently in<\/em> love.<\/p>\n After a reported breakup in May and then being spotted holding hands out at dinner<\/a> in September, it would appear that 77-year-old Cher and her 37-year-old boyfriend producer Alexander \u201cA.E.\u201d Edwards<\/strong> are on-again. That she\u2019s gushing about how much she loves him (while promoting her Christmas album for which he produced a track) is also a pretty big hint that they\u2019re back together.<\/p>\n Cher told People<\/em><\/a> that she and Edwards met briefly a year ago during Paris Fashion Week, and then reconnected over text when a mutual friend gave him her number.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was really shocking, because people just don\u2019t give out my number,\u201d she said. \u201cI had been telling all my friends, \u2018We\u2019re too old to go out with really younger men, and I will never fall in love on text.\u2019 So I did what I said not to do!\u201d<\/p>\n Considering the icon\u2019s stream-of-consciousness, creatively punctuated style of tweeting<\/a>, it would be an absolute treat to see how Cher flirts via text message.\u00a0<\/p>\n Continuing her bemused vibe when it comes to her love life (never forget when she called her relationship with Edwards \u201ckind of ridiculous\u201d<\/a>), Cher said that she\u2019s \u201cnot surprised\u201d people are fascinated with her love life. Edwards has \u201cdiamond teeth, tattoos, white hair, and he\u2019s way younger,\u201d she said. \u201cHe\u2019s a beautiful man.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cNo matter what happens, I love being with him,\u201d she said of the relationship. \u201cHe makes me laugh, and we have fun. What I learned is that it\u2019s never too late. If you wrote out all the statistics, you would go, \u2018Well, this is doomed.\u2019 But we\u2019ve been together a year, and if it was just a year, it would\u2019ve been worth it. I\u2019ve had the best time.\u201d<\/p>\n The relationship between the two isn\u2019t just personal, it\u2019s professional too. Making good on her earlier promises that she and Edwards were working on music together<\/a>, the singer\u2019s album, Christmas<\/em>, releases October 20, featuring the lead single \u201cDJ Play a Christmas Song.\u201d Edwards produced another track on the album, \u201cDrop Top Sleigh.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe’s a great producer,\u201d Cher said of her beau. \u201cI let him do \u2018Drop Top Sleigh.\u2019 That\u2019s a hard thing to do when you are in love with someone and then you say, \u2018OK, here, take this record and do what you want with it.\u2019 But I had faith.
