Drake<\/strong> <\/a>went back to back on dissing Joe Budden<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Following the release of his new album, For All the Dogs<\/em><\/a>, Drake, 36, found himself feuding with longtime rival Budden, 43, once again. \u201cI thank God for this life, and not having to come to rushed conclusions [made] on Best Buy podcast mics,\u201d Drake wrote via Instagram <\/a>on Monday, October 9, captioning a slideshow full of highlights from his It\u2019s All A Blur Tour<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Drake\u2019s caption seemingly referred to Budden\u2019s career as a podcast host \u2014 and his recent critical take on For All The Dogs<\/em>, which dropped Friday, October 6. Budden weighed in on the record during an episode of his eponymous podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cI miss the Drake that was rapping for the rappers,\u201d Budden said. \u201cHe\u2019s rappin\u2019 for the children<\/a>. Yo, dog \u2014 I had to look up how old this n\u2014 was when I finished listening to the album. You are 36. Your birthday is in 20 days \u2014 I Googled that, too. You\u2019re going to be 37 years old. Get the f\u2014k away from some of these younger n\u2014s. \u2026 I want to hear adult Drake rapping for adult people. He\u2019s rapping for the kids, the streams, the accolades. He ain\u2019t trying to rap for me. I can accept that.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Drake couldn\u2019t accept the criticism. \u201c@joebudden you have failed at music,\u201d Drake wrote in the comments section of an Instagram post<\/a> shared by DJ Akademiks<\/strong>. \u201cYou left [music] behind to do what you are doing in this clip cause this is what actually pays your bills. For any artist watching this, just remember you are watching a failure give their opinion on his idea of a recipe for success\u2026a quitter [giving] their opinion on how to achieve longevity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Drake added that artists shouldn\u2019t let Budden\u2019s opinions \u201caffect your mindset after the fact,\u201d writing, \u201dThis guy is the poster child of frustration and [surrender]. You retired, and we never hung up your jersey. We don\u2019t even remember your number. We know you for doing this\u2026you withdrew from rap not cause you accomplished all you need to it\u2019s cause it wasn\u2019t working for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Concluding his rant, Drake noted, \u201cIf you need it put in simpler terms, I own a 767\u2026he owns a modest house in the 973 and flies first class on special occasions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Budden\u2019s response to Drake\u2019s diss, meanwhile, was short and sweet. \u201cYou\u2019ll grow up sooner or later,\u201d he commented on Akademiks\u2019 post. \u201cFather time is undefeated.\u201d<\/p>\n
