Janelle Brown<\/strong><\/a> got real about how her youngest sons, Garrison<\/strong> and Gabriel<\/strong><\/a>, have changed since falling out with their dad, Kody Brown<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have worried about my boys\u2019 mental health,\u201d Janelle, 54, shared in the Sunday, October 8, episode of Sister Wives<\/em><\/a>. \u201cGabriel feels everything very, very deeply. But he\u2019s also the kid who doesn\u2019t say anything. And Garrison just seems angry or sadder, like, he\u2019s not as happy, go lucky as he used to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Janelle shares Garrison, 25, and Gabriel, 21, as well as Logan<\/strong>, 29, Maddie<\/strong>, 27, Hunter<\/strong>, 26, and Savanah<\/strong>, 18<\/a>, with her estranged husband, 54. Before Janelle announced in December 2022<\/a> that she and Kody had separated, viewers saw their family\u2019s dynamic shift.<\/p>\n

Last season, Janelle and Kody butted heads over Kody\u2019s reaction to Garrison and Gabriel<\/a> allegedly not respecting Kody\u2019s COVID rules. The continual arguments \u2014 and the boys\u2019 alleged choice not to apologize to their father<\/a> \u2014 resulted in Janelle and her kids celebrating the holidays without Kody.<\/p>\n

\u201cMe and Garrison are at odds with my dad, because when we expressed our discontent at how things were going with COVID, I was met with just a wall,\u201d Gabriel said on Sunday\u2019s episode, which was taped earlier this year. \u201cLike and there was no line of dialogue. I think that that is what really drove the wedge between us<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christine Brown<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 who announced her split from Kody<\/a> in November 2021 \u2014 weighed in on the turmoil between Janelle\u2019s kids and Kody during the show.<\/p>\n

Janelle and Kody were spiritually married in 1993, three years after he legally wed Meri Brown. \u201cBefore Kody and I were really courting, I was actually friends with his family,\u201d Janelle said during a 2013 episode of [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cMy kids are more used to Kody not being in their life. He just wasn\u2019t around as much,\u201d Christine, 51, said during a confessional. \u201cBut he has been around Janelle\u2019s kids. For them, this is just a lot more devastating than it has been for my kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christine, who shares son Paedon<\/strong>, 25, and daughters Aspyn<\/strong>, 28, Mykelti<\/strong>, 27, Gwendlyn<\/strong>, 21, Ysabel<\/strong>, 20, and Truely<\/strong>, 13<\/a>, with Kody, was the first of the Brown wives to leave the patriarch. Janelle was second and Meri Brown<\/strong><\/a>, who is Kody\u2019s first wife, confirmed in January that she and Kody had ended their romantic relationship<\/a>. Kody is still married to Robyn Brown<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite her own ups and downs with Kody<\/a>, Janelle revealed on Sunday\u2019s episode that she briefly entertained the idea of giving their relationship another chance. However, after going out with Kody for her birthday in May \u2014 which was filmed for this episode \u2014 she felt differently.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKody Brown\u2018s children have had romances of their own after the plural family was thrown into the TLC spotlight on Sister Wives in 2010. Kody married Meri Brown in 1990, and the twosome welcomed their only child, Leon, five years later. Kody went on to enter spiritual unions with Janelle Brown and Christine Brown in [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAt one point I slipped my hand into his out of habit and I thought, \u2018This feels really weird\u2019 and I took my hand back out of his hand,\u201d Janelle told the cameras. \u201cIt just didn\u2019t feel right anymore<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kody, for his part, confessed that he didn\u2019t understand what he and Janelle couldn\u2019t get back together, noting that they had separated in the past but found a way back. \u201cI\u2019ve been in love with her before, so, I can be in love with her again. I just feel like we need to reestablish trust,\u201d Kody explained.<\/p>\n
