The Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em><\/a> cast reunited on the picket line on Friday, October 6, outside the Warner Bros. studio in Burbank, California, to show their support for the Screen Actors Guild \u2013 American Federation of Television and Radio Artists strike.<\/p>\n

Sarah Drew<\/strong><\/a>, who played Dr. April Kepner on the long-running medical drama from 2009 to 2018, shared a video of a compilation of clips from the day via Instagram<\/a> that featured current stars including Kim Raver<\/strong><\/a>, Chandra Wilson<\/strong><\/a>, Jason George<\/strong><\/a>, James Pickens Jr.<\/strong><\/a>, Camilla Luddington<\/strong><\/a>, Kelly McCreary<\/strong><\/a>, Caterina Scorsone<\/a> <\/strong>and others.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are out and we aren\u2019t backing down!\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

Raver, who played Dr. Teddy Altman, also took to Instagram<\/a> to share her own video set to the tune of Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s \u201cCruel Summer.\u201d<\/p>\n

A release date for season 20 of ABC\u2019s award winning show has not been announced by the network as the hit series has been impacted by the strikes, but it is expected to return after the strike ends.<\/p>\n

Friday\u2019s picket focused on actors who play first responders \u2014 including police officers, firefighters, ER doctors, paramedics and more. Prior to the event, SAG-AFTRA encouraged people via X<\/a>, formerly known as Twitter, to join in \u201chonoring the heroes who inspire our screens and the ones who bring them to life.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is not the first time that a Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em> star has been seen on the picket line. Kevin McKidd<\/strong><\/a> (who played Dr. Owen Hunt) and his girlfriend, Station 19<\/em> actress Danielle Savre<\/strong><\/a>, showed up to support<\/a> SAG-AFTRA in July.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMembers of SAG-AFTRA are showing their support after the labor union failed to reach an agreement with studios over fairer wages, the use of artificial intelligence in media and other issues. SAG\u2019S president, Fran Drescher, confirmed on Thursday, July 13, that the union, which represents over 160,000 TV and film stars, would be striking alongside [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

SAG-AFTRA \u2014 which includes the Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em> stars and approximately 160,000 actors \u2014 has been on strike since July after failing to reach an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. Their concerns include fair wages, streaming residuals and the use of artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n
