Freddie Prinze Jr.<\/b><\/a><\/span> and Sarah Michelle Gellar<\/b><\/span><\/a> have come a long way since their onscreen introduction on the set of 1997\u2019s I Know What You Did Last Summer.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cWe just would talk about life and stuff like that, and we had completely different philosophies on just about everything,\u201d She\u2019s All That<\/i><\/span><\/a> <\/i>actor exclusively told Us Weekly<\/i><\/span><\/a><\/span> in February 2020. \u201cWe started this weekly barbecue thing at her house, and me and my cousins would come over and cook food for her and her friends. And then we\u2019d make sure everybody ate, and that was kind of how our friendship began.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prinze and Gellar\u2019s bond turned <\/span>after a fumbled dinner date<\/span><\/a> in January 2000. \u201cWe were supposed to have dinner with a friend of ours, and she didn\u2019t make her plane, so we went anyway,\u201d he <\/span>told Us<\/i> in 2020<\/span>. \u201cWe\u2019d had tons of dinners before and for some reason, it felt different that night. Organically, it just transitioned into something else.\u201d<\/p>\n

Two years later, the pair tied the knot in September 2002. Nearly seven years later, they expanded their family. They share <\/span>daughter Charlotte and son Rocky, born <\/span>in 2009 and 2012, respectively.<\/p>\n
