W<\/em> This week, we\u2019ll<\/span> dive into the results of a survey I conducted on the future of AI and what lies beyond the ChatGPT hype. And because you can\u2019t always escape the hype, I also read a book about SBF \u2014 but not the one by Michael Lewis. Instead, I picked \u201cNumber Go Up: Inside Crypto\u2019s Wild Rise and Staggering Fall\u201d by investigative reporter Zeke Faux, and I am glad I did. \u2014 Anna<\/i><\/a><\/p>\n Although I just did, it\u2019s not entirely fair to call Faux\u2019s book \u201cNumber Go Up\u201d an \u201cSBF book.\u201d Sure, it has several chapters on FTX\u2019s founder, Sam Bankman-Fried, and the epilogue is mostly about his fate, which has been unfolding in court<\/a> this week. But it\u2019s also about crypto more broadly, and that\u2019s a good thing.<\/p>\n It\u2019s not that I don\u2019t care about getting a better understanding of SBF\u2019s personality. I listened to an entire podcast series about him<\/a>, and my colleague Jacquelyn Melinek is also coming back from court each day with fascinating tidbits on his behavior<\/a>. But just like the trial\u2019s first witness was an alleged victim of FTX, I also want to hear from people whose lives have been affected by the rise and fall of crypto.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
