Congratulations are in order for Heather Rae Young<\/strong><\/a> and Tarek El Moussa<\/strong><\/a>! The Selling Sunset<\/em> star gave birth on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, to a son. The couple has not revealed his name yet.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cOur baby boy is here. Mama and baby are happy, healthy, tired but doing well. Our hearts are so happy,\u201d Heather captioned the pair\u2019s announcement via Instagram<\/a>. The couple\u2019s happy news was confirmed to Life & Style <\/em>by their publicist, Eda Kalkay<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Netflix personality revealed her pregnancy<\/a> on social media in July 2022. The post contained a series of photos<\/a> debuting her baby bump and a caption that stated, \u201cSurprise!!! Baby El Moussa coming early 2023!!\u201d<\/p>\n

The exciting news came as a \u201cbig shock\u201d to the real estate agent and Flip or Flop<\/em> star. The couple revealed to People<\/em><\/a> that they went through the IVF process. \u201cI think when you least expect it and there\u2019s no stress in your life, the world just brought us what was meant to be,\u201d Heather told the publication. \u201cI\u2019m so excited that it happened like this.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair\u2019s happy announcement came nine months after the two tied the knot<\/a> in October 2021 in a gorgeous fall ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Tarek was previously married to Christina Hall<\/strong><\/a> (n\u00e9e Haack), with whom he shares two kids, Taylor and Brayden.<\/p>\n

Before the lovebirds said \u201cI do,\u201d Heather opened up about possibly starting a family<\/a> with Tarek. \u201cYou know, before I met Tarek and the kids, I actually never thought I would have children. My heart has been so opened up to possibly having a baby,\u201d the Anaheim native told Life & Style<\/em> in September 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you find your soulmate, I think your mind changes and how you think your future is going to end up changes,\u201d Heather explained. \u201cLike, I never thought I would be a step-parent. I never thought I would marry a man that had kids and an ex [wife]. I never thought I would be in this position. So, from the moment I met him, I 100 percent committed. I never thought twice about it, and our life is crazy and I\u2019m like, \u2018Well, what\u2019s one more?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The Netflix reality star also opened up about her struggle with fertility over the years. \u201cI froze my eggs once,\u201d Heather recalled. \u201cI actually have low fertility. So, I did that because there\u2019s a chance that I might not be able to have babies [normally]. I did that just for my future. I don\u2019t have to feel like I regretted not having kids. I just wanted to have the option. I\u2019m probably going to do one more round just to be safe because I don\u2019t have a lot of eggs, so I\u2019m going to preserve what I have.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
