Caitlyn Jenner<\/strong><\/a> has opened up about why she chose to participate in the upcoming House of Kardashian<\/em> docuseries<\/a>, revealing that she only wanted to \u201cprotect\u201d and \u201cdefend\u201d her famous Kardashian-Jenner family.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m a parent, I love my children,\u201d Caitlyn, 73, said on the British talk show This Morning<\/em><\/a> on Wednesday, October 4. \u201cAnd you know the Kardashian side and a little bit of the Jenner side, but I think a lot of times in the media you get totally misrepresented, so I wanted to do it just to say first of all how much I love my kids, and second of all how proud I am of them and what they\u2019ve been able to accomplish. It is an amazing story.\u201d<\/p>\n The former Olympic gold medalist took to X<\/a> (formerly known as Twitter) to promote her interview, sharing a clip and reiterating her point in the caption.<\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t let the clickbait or tabloid headlines fool you,\u201d Caitlyn wrote. \u201cI did House of Kardashian<\/em> to defend my family and I speak extremely highly of my kids and Kris \u2013 the mastermind behind it all \u2013 who I spent 22 beautiful years with.\u201d<\/p>\n House of Kardashian<\/em>, which premieres on October 8 in the U.K. on Sky Documentaries, \u201caims to confound expectations and challenge what society knows of the Kardashians, exploring their rise, reach and the cost that comes with being some of the most famous women on the planet,\u201d the network told Variety<\/em><\/a> in a statement in September.<\/p>\n Caitlyn, who shares daughters Kendall<\/strong><\/a>, 27, and Kylie<\/strong><\/a>, 26, with momager Kris Jenner<\/strong><\/a>, is set to share her experiences with the family. She became a stepparent to Kris\u2019 kids, Kim<\/strong><\/a>, 42, Kourtney<\/strong><\/a>, 44, Khlo\u00e9<\/strong><\/a>, 39, and Rob<\/strong><\/a>, 36, when Caitlyn and Kris, 67, got married in 1991. Caitlyn was a longstanding cast member on Keeping Up With the Kardashians<\/em><\/a>, but she left the reality series in 2015 after her divorce from Kris.<\/p>\n
