Mario Lopez had a \u2018very awkward and uncomfortable\u2019 interview with Ben Affleck<\/p>\n

The \u2018Saved by the Bell\u2019 star, 49, said he \u201cwasn\u2019t prepared\u201d for the job when he chatted to the \u2018Gone Girl\u2019 A-lister, 51, and said he had hastily scribbled down questions to ask him during their conversation. <\/p>\n

He told Us Weekly: \u201cOne time when I interviewed Ben Affleck<\/a> for a movie\u2026 I didn\u2019t want to do it because I wasn\u2019t prepared. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd they said, \u2018We don\u2019t have anyone, you have to do it.\u2019 I was like, \u2018Oh, God.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201c(Ben) was looking at me (like), \u2018You didn\u2019t see this, you don\u2019t know what you\u2019re talking about.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\nEven though Mario said Ben was \u201ccool\u201d about the disastrous interview chat, the \u201cAccess Hollywood\u201d host said he \u201cfelt very awkward and uncomfortable\u201d because he knew Ben was aware of the situation. <\/p>\n

\nHe added: \u201c(Ben) could see through me! And I\u2019ll never forget that. And I was like, \u2018Never again am I going to try to fake it.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n

\nMario found fame playing jock A C Slater on the hit 1990s sitcom \u2018Saved by the Bell\u2019. <\/p>\n

\nHis TV hosting career kicked off after the comedy show ended in 1992, and he has since fronted shows including \u2018The X Factor\u2019 and \u2018America\u2019s Best Dance Crew\u2019, and interviewed guests such as Taylor Swift, 33, and Brad Pitt, 59. <\/p>\n

\nBen is no stranger to his interviews going viral \u2013 including one from 2016 that turned him into a meme. <\/p>\n

\nBut he said he doesn\u2019t take internet trends to heart, adding to the Los Angeles Times in 2022: \u201cI got to a place where (the public perception) was so different from who I am that I just stopped reading and stopped caring.\u201d <\/p>\n

\nBut Ben he started to change his mind when his three children \u2013 Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel 11, whom he had with his 51-year-old actress ex-wife Jennifer Garner \u2013 grew up. <\/p>\n

\nHe added: \u201cAs my kids got older and started seeing the Internet themselves, that\u2019s the difficult part.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
