Catelynn Lowell<\/strong><\/a> and Tyler Baltierra<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s annual visit with their eldest daughter, Carly, is always emotional \u2014 but their most recent trip<\/a> seems to be the most bittersweet of all.<\/p>\n

On the Wednesday, October 4, episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter<\/em>, the couple \u2014 who placed Carly for adoption after her birth in 2008 \u2014 visited with the 14-year-old and her adoptive parents, Brandon<\/strong> and Teresa Davis<\/strong>, over a period of several days in June.<\/p>\n

While Catelynn and Tyler brought additional family members along with them, including their other three daughters<\/a> and Catelynn\u2019s parents, the pair wanted to make the final visit of the trip the most \u201cintimate\u201d \u2014 meaning that only Catelynn, Tyler, Catelynn\u2019s dad, and their daughter Nova<\/a>, 8, would be there to see Carly and her family.<\/p>\n

While MTV cameras did not capture the meetup \u2014 Brandon and Teresa do not allow Carly on camera \u2014 the emotions were as raw as ever following the visit.<\/p>\n

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra placed their eldest daughter, Carly, for adoption in 2009 and have maintained a relationship with her and her parents, Brandon Davis and Teresa Davis, ever since. The 16 and Pregnant alums were 17 when their baby girl arrived, a journey that was captured by the MTV cameras. Six [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Tyler and Catelynn wiped away tears as they walked with Nova.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s OK. We can cry. It\u2019s sad,\u201d Tyler told the 8-year-old, who pointed out that she was \u201cthe only one not crying right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd that\u2019s fine, too. Mom doesn\u2019t cry every time,\u201d Catelynn shared with her daughter.<\/p>\n

This time, the tears only increased as the family got into their car to leave. As Catelynn and Tyler cried in the front seat, Nova comforted her parents with wisdom beyond her years.<\/p>\n

\u201cMom, I just want to say that Carly will always be in your heart<\/a>,\u201d she told Catelynn, before praising her parents. \u201cI just want to say that my mom and dad started this family. And I\u2019m grateful for it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Catelynn and Tyler met in middle school<\/a>. When Catelynn got pregnant at 17 \u2014 as depicted on their 2009 episode of 16 and Pregnant<\/em> \u2014 she and Tyler made the heart-wrenching decision to place their baby for adoption due to their unstable home lives and lack of financial resources. The pair, who tied the knot in 2015, later welcomed daughters Nova, Vaeda, 4, and Rya Rose, 2.<\/p>\n

While the reality stars know they made the right decision at the time, both Catelynn and Tyler have wondered what their lives would be like if they hadn\u2019t placed Carly for adoption when they were teens.<\/p>\n

In fact, Abraham has been criticized for just how mature her daughter is. The Ex on the Beach star faced backlash after she\u00a0shared a video of Sophia dancing [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In a direct message to Carly at the end of the episode, Catelynn told the teen \u2014 whom she called \u201cthe biggest blessing in my life\u201d \u2014 that they made the choice out of love.<\/p>\n
