The \u2018Star Trek\u2019 actor, 83, says in his new memoir \u2018Making It So\u2019 a home he owned in Los Angeles left him spooked as he heard voices, smelt food being cooked and heard footsteps on an empty staircase while he was living there. <\/p>\n
He said the disturbances creeped him out so much that he rented the house to a young couple with a child. <\/p>\n
A few months later, the mum called to tell Patrick her daughter had seen a \u201cshadowy male figure in the hall\u201d and also heard voices and footsteps. <\/p>\n
The actor said: \u201c(She screamed): \u2018Whoever you are, f*** off and leave us in peace!\u201d \u2013 and the disturbances suddenly stopped. <\/p>\n
\nPatrick added when he ran into the people who sold him the house, he noticed they were \u201cclearly uncomfortable\u201d and he got \u201cthe distinct impression that they had something to hide\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nThe actor sold the house and found love again with his singer third wife, Sunny Ozell, 44, who he met in a Brooklyn restaurant where she was a waitress. <\/p>\n
\nHe confessed that they slept together on their first date. <\/p>\n
\nThey married in 2013, with the actor\u2019s longtime friend Sir Ian McKellan, 84, officiating at the ceremony. <\/p>\n
\nPatrick also tells in his book he got hooked on sleeping pills following his first divorce. <\/p>\n
\nThe \u2018X-Men\u2019 star admitted he went through a \u201crough time\u201d after his 1989 split from Sheila Falconer, now 78. <\/p>\n
\nHe was filming \u2018Star Trek\u2019 at the time, and said he found himself \u201cdependent on sleeping pills to get me the hours of restoration I needed to do my job properly\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nThe actor and Sheila, with whom he had two children, married in 1966. <\/p>\n
\nTheir relationship ended partly due to Stewart\u2019s affair with actress Jennifer Hetrick, 65, who played Vash on \u2018Star Trek: The Next Generation\u2019 alongside Patrick as Captain Picard. <\/p>\n
\nHe said he eventually decided to \u201cquit the pills\u201d during a break in filming in the TV series, but wrote \u201csleep became almost impossible\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nPatrick admitted found himself waking up in the early hours of the morning with a \u201cfull-body feeling of panic, my legs sweating profusely, which had never happened before and hasn\u2019t since\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nHe added the dark chapter was the toughest of his life because his children, especially his daughter, Sophie, were furious at him for divorcing their mother. <\/p>\n
\nIt was then that he said living at his LA mansion became \u201cproblematic\u201d due to the ghosts he felt were in the home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
