Despite their engagement, Sharna Burness<\/strong><\/a> and Brian Austin Green<\/strong><\/a> are in no rush to get married<\/a> and the Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a> pro tells Life & Style<\/em> exclusively why fans shouldn\u2019t expect to see pair to tie the knot for quite some time.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re going to enjoy being engaged for a while. Life is very full and very busy and we\u2019re in no rush necessarily for the wedding,<\/a>\u201d Sharna explained at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on September 22.<\/p>\n The Australia native is thrilled to finally have a ring on her finger after nearly three years of dating and welcoming a son<\/a>, Zane Walker, with Brian in June 2022. \u201cI mean, I\u2019m just grateful that now I can say he\u2019s my fianc\u00e9, not my boyfriend. That was starting to feel a bit strange,\u201d she admitted.<\/p>\n The couple revealed they were engaged on the September 22 episode of the couple\u2019s \u201cOldish\u201d podcast, and that Brian popped the question during the 50th birthday party Sharna threw for him on July 15. The Beverly Hills, 90210<\/em> alum enlisted their son as well as the children he shares<\/a> with ex-wife Megan Fox<\/strong><\/a> to help with the proposal.<\/p>\n \u201cBri says, \u2018Baby come with me, I\u2019ve got to show you something.\u2019 We head into our bedroom and I start to get these feelings,\u201d Sharna recalled. \u201cThe kids come in and Noah is holding Zane and Journey is holding this little red\u00a0Cartier box. They stand next to Bri and he says, \u2018Would you spend the rest of your life with us?’\u201d<\/p>\n Sharna continued, \u201cOf course, I said, \u2018Yes.\u2019 It was the most perfect, beautiful moment because it was us, it was our unit, our tribe.\u201d<\/p>\n Brian added, \u201cWe have a 15-month-old now. She\u2019s honestly a mother to the other kids that are at the house, and it got to that point where it\u2019s not doing justice to what our relationship is.\u201d He shares \u2014 Noah, 10,\u00a0Bodhi, 9, and\u00a0Journey, 7, with Megan and has a 21-year-old son, Kassius, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In a birthday tribute to Brian on July 17 \u2014 two days after their secret engagement \u2014 Sharna gushed about how she hoped to spend the rest of her life with him next to photos of the couple kissing<\/a> at the party.<\/p>\n \u201cHappy Birthday to my person, my one, my best friend and baby daddy. Your 50, fine AF and I love you more than I can describe. I hope I get the next 50 with you cos we\u2019ve only just begun,\u201d Sharna wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cYou are without a doubt the most kind, loyal to a fault, generous, and all round good man I\u2019ve ever known. You have just the right amount of sarcasm that my Aussie humor needs and although I (lovingly) call you a d\u2013k\u2026 you really couldn\u2019t be further from it. You are the kind of father I could\u2019ve only dreamed of (and I did) for my children. You are the kind of partner to me that I thought only existed in my journal writings. Life without you was pretty wonderful but life WITH you? It\u2019s a dream. It\u2019s MY dream and all that I asked and wished for that is now here and real and true,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n \u201cLife with you and our blended family is the easiest thing I\u2019ve ever done and in all honesty it doesn\u2019t feel like it\u2019s our first time around. We\u2019ve done this before, I knew that the day I met you.
