Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is giving a big thank you to Fox NFL reporter\u00a0Erin Andrews<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0for telling\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> during an August podcast that she should date the Kansas City Chiefs star<\/a>.<\/p>\n During the August 3 episode of the \u201cCalm Down\u201d podcast with Erin, 45, and cohost\u00a0Charissa Thompson<\/strong>\u00a0both women encouraged the \u201cCruel Summer\u201d singer, 33, to give Travis a chance after he tried and failed to give her his phone number at her Kansas City Eras tour stop.<\/p>\n Charissa posted the video to her Instagram account on Sunday, October 1, with the caption, \u201cJust saying \u2026 @erinandrews & I recorded this episode back on August 3rd,\u201d while Travis, 33, responded in the comments section, \u201cYou two are something else!! I owe you big time!!\u201d with several raised hands emojis.<\/p>\n In the video, Erin told the Grammy winner,\u00a0\u201cTaylor, I don\u2019t know what you\u2019re doing in your life right now besides rocking the world<\/a> \u2026 but please try our friend Travis. He is fantastic,\u201d heavily stressing the last word.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is one Taylor \u2026 I know we\u2019re not the best of friends. We\u2019re not even friends, but I consider you one,\u201d the sportscaster continued, outing herself as a fan. \u201cTake us up on this. Go on a date with this guy. Do it for America,\u201d Erin added.<\/p>\n \u201cDo it for yourself, do it for us and do it for the people. Because there is no one who would give you a better time than this guy,\u201d Charissa, 31, a fellow Fox Sports reporter, told the \u201cKarma\u201d singer.<\/p>\n Travis revealed on the July 26 episode of his \u201cNew Heights Show\u201d podcast with brother Jason Kelce<\/a><\/b>\u00a0that he was crushed when he was unable to meet Taylor<\/a> during her Kansas City tour stop.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you\u2019re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there [sic],\u201d the Super Bowl champ explained. \u201cBut I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it. \u2026 She doesn\u2019t meet anybody, or at least she didn\u2019t want to meet me, so I took it personal,\u201d he continued, adding, \u201cSo, I was little butthurt that I didn\u2019t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Eventually, Travis and Taylor connected as he revealed during a September 21 appearance on \u201cThe Pat McAfee Show\u201d<\/a>\u00a0that he gave her an invite to come see him play<\/a>. \u201cI told her, \u2018You know, I\u2019ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead [Stadium], you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one\u2019s a little more lit.\u201d Taylor took him up on the offer and watched his September 24 game<\/a> against the Chicago Bears from a suite alongside his mom,\u00a0Donna Kelce<\/b>, and a group of his pals.<\/p>\n The pair were seen for the first time together smiling and walking closely as they left via a stadium tunnel following the game and got into his vintage convertible, heading to a private party at a Kansas City hotspot where Taylor was later seen in a photograph sitting on Travis\u2019 lap<\/a> with her arm around his neck.
