Sia<\/strong><\/a> is getting candid about her experiences with plastic surgery.<\/p>\n

At the 5th annual Daytime Beauty Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 1, Sia<\/a> presented the Outstanding Achievement in Medicine award to Dr. Ben Talei<\/strong> and thanked him in her speech for giving her a facelift.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a pop star that normally hides my face and doesn\u2019t lie about s\u2013t,\u201d Sia, 47, said to the crowd. \u201cI got an amazing face lift from Dr. Talei. He is incredible. And he is doing so much good work \u2014 and not just for the pop stars of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sia continued, \u201cI was showing someone in the back my before-and-afters right before I came on. People go, \u2018You look nice.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Dr. Ben Talei, facelift\u2019 for, like, anything you could ever want. I love him, I can\u2019t say enough good about him.\u201d<\/p>\n

After presenting the award, Sia handed the mic over to Talei, 41, who had equally glowing things to say about the musician. \u201cI don\u2019t know if you guys know how amazing Sia is as a person,\u201d he said. \u201cWe have a lot of common friends and it\u2019s always shocking how many keep saying, \u2018I love her, I love her, I love her. She\u2019s amazing.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tIt\u2019s often thought that celebrities who\u2019ve had plastic surgery will go to any lengths to hide their secret, but stars from Ronnie Ortiz-Magro to Courteney Cox have been candid about their experiences going under the knife. Some celebrities have even shared their plastic surgery nightmares. Heidi Montag, for example, developed health problems due to her [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Talei continued, \u201cShe really is \u2014 like you can see \u2014 a bright ray of sunshine and made my nieces and nephews\u2019 days. She invited them over to her house for a big party, and the whole family loves her. I\u2019m super grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the ceremony, Talei posted an Instagram photo<\/a> of the two hugging on stage with the caption: \u201c@siamusic I\u2019m beyond grateful to have been bestowed this honor and moment by my incredibly amazing friend Sia. Although there were some incredible presenters, everyone in the crowd lost their minds when Sia came on stage like a nuclear firecracker. Then, out of nowhere she dropped some amaaaaazing news on the crowd!!!!!!! It\u2019s incredible to have someone you love and respect so much do something so nice for you. It makes you feel more than unstoppable\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sia has famously hidden her face behind a wig for the majority of her career. In recent years, however, she has seemingly grown more comfortable revealing her face publicly, and notably opted to leave her wig at home to present Talei his award.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Sia has admitted to getting cosmetic surgery. In a 2021 interview with physician and author Gabor Mate<\/strong>, Sia opened up about her struggles<\/a> and insecurities caused by working in the entertainment industry. During the interview, she admitted to getting liposuction on her stomach that \u201cwent wrong,\u201d explaining that it looked \u201clike something threw a hammer into my guts.\u201d<\/p>\n
