My highest weight was 237 lbs. I don\u2019t know if there is another public person whose weight struggle has been exploited as much as mine over the years.\u201d<\/p>\n Oprah<\/strong> continued, \u201cThis is a world that has shamed people for being overweight forever. And all of us who\u2019ve lived it know that people treat you differently, they just do.\u201d<\/p>\n The TV host then shared details about how weight stigma was most apparent for her while shopping. <\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s that thing where people are like, \u2018Let me show you the gloves. Would you like to look at the handbags? Because we know that there\u2019s nothing in here for you,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cThere is a condescension.
