This week\u2019s episode of All Rise<\/em> marks the late Anne Heche\u2019s<\/a> final acting performance following her death in August 2022<\/a>.<\/p>\n The actress \u2014 who starred as lawyer Corinne Cuthbert on the CBS series \u2014 appeared in six episodes during season 2, which aired in November 2020. Her last episode will air on Saturday, September 30, and will be dedicated in her memory.<\/p>\n Heche had a decades-long career starring in TV shows such as 1987\u2019s Another World<\/em><\/a>, 2006\u2019s Men In Trees<\/em> and 2009\u2019s Hung<\/em>. She also appeared in films including 199\u20197\u2019s Donnie Brasco<\/em>, 1998\u2019s Psycho<\/em>, 2009\u2019s Spread<\/em>, 2011\u2019s Birth Rampart<\/em> and 2016\u2019s Catfight<\/em>.<\/p>\n In August 2022, Heche died at the age of 53 following a car accident that left her in critical condition. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Heche was allegedly speeding, ran off the road and collided with a house. Heche\u2019s car subsequently went up in flames, resulting in severe burns and a pulmonary injury<\/a> that left her in a coma. Days later, her rep shared that she had suffered a \u201csevere anoxic brain injury\u201d from the crash and was ultimately \u201cnot expected to survive<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed one week later that Heche\u2019s cause of death<\/a> was due to inhalation of smoke and thermal injuries. Her manner of death was listed as an accident, noting that a \u201csternal fracture due to blunt trauma\u201d was another \u201csignificant condition\u201d from the car crash.<\/p>\n Following her tragic passing, Heche\u2019s 21-year-old son, Homer \u2014 whom she shared with ex-husband Coleman Laffoon<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 spoke out about the loss of his mother<\/a>. (Heche also shared son Atlas<\/a>, 14, with ex-boyfriend James Tupper<\/strong><\/a>.)<\/p>\n \u201cMy brother Atlas and I lost our Mom. After six days of almost unbelievable emotional swings, I am left with a deep, wordless sadness,\u201d Homer said in an August 2022 interview. \u201cHopefully my mom is free from pain and beginning to explore what I like to imagine as her eternal freedom.\u201d<\/p>\n In September, Homer filed paperwork to be put in charge of his mother\u2019s estate<\/a> after it was found that Heche didn\u2019t have a written will. However, Tupper, 58, claimed that the actress left him her estate<\/a>. In documents obtained by Us<\/em>, he alleged that Heche made her intentions clear in an email she sent in January 2011.<\/p>\n \u201cFYI In case I die tomorrow and anyone asks,\u201d the alleged email read. \u201cMy wishes are that all of my assets go to the control of Mr. James Tupper to be used to raise my children and then given to the children. They will be divided equally among our children, currently Homer Heche Laffoon and Atlas Heche Tupper, and their portion given to each when they are the age of 25. When the last child turns 25 any house or other properties owned may be sold and the money divided equally among our children.\u201d<\/p>\n Homer later slammed Tupper<\/a> for his \u201cunfounded personal attacks\u201d against him.<\/p>\n \u201cMr. Tupper\u2019s claims regarding [Homer\u2019s] \u2018suitability\u2019 to serve as personal representative are not only immaterial, they are inaccurate and unfounded,\u201d Homer claimed in court documents at the time.<\/p>\n Two months later, Homer was officially named the general administrator<\/a> of Heche\u2019s estate. Following all the legal drama, Homer revealed in January that he plans to release Heche\u2019s unpublished memoir<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI have a responsibility to share with her community what she was working on and how excited she would have been to tell you herself,\u201d Homer wrote in a lengthy message via Heche\u2019s Instagram<\/a> account. \u201cMy mom had a completed manuscript for a second book at the time of her passing. The book is the product of mom\u2019s further efforts to share her story and to help others where she could.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued: \u201cCall Me Anne<\/em> is the result and I know she was excited to share with the world.
