Roughly a month after Amazon Prime Air made its first deliveries in California and Texas, it\u2019d served fewer than 10 households \u2014 and it\u2019s already laid off more than half the employees at those locations. <\/p>\n<div class=\"c-float-left c-float-hang\">\n<aside id=\"jsjJOI\">\n<div data-anthem-component=\"readmore\" data-anthem-component-data=\"{\"stories\":[{\"title\":\"Amazon\u2019s started to deliver orders by drones in California and Texas \",\"url\":\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/12\/28\/23529705\/amazon-drone-delivery-prime-air-california-texas\"}]}\"><\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"l38dzH\">That\u2019s according to a pair of new reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theinformation.com\/articles\/amazons-no-fly-zone-drone-delivery-largely-grounded-despite-splashy-launch?utm_campaign=Automated+Fallback+R&amp;utm_content=89&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=cio&amp;utm_term=19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">at <em>The Information<\/em><\/a><em> <\/em>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/amazon-prime-air-safety-teams-drone-delivery-layoffs-2023-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Business Insider<\/em><\/a><em>, <\/em>and Amazon isn\u2019t denying it.
