Kelly Clarkson<\/strong><\/a> recently opened up about her dating life following her divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock<\/strong><\/a>, revealing that she\u2019s not really interested in getting back out there right now.<\/span><\/p>\n In an Instagram Live on September 22, Kelly, 41, explained that she has \u201ca lot going on\u201d in her life right now \u2014 but a boyfriend isn\u2019t one of them.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cDo I have a boyfriend? No! And not looking. You know why? I love being single. I forgot,\u201d the <\/span>American Idol<\/span><\/i> alum shared. \u201cI have two kids, two dogs, three rabbits, a hamster, multiple jobs.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Kelly went on to admit that it\u2019s \u201chard to start over\u201d after a relationship doesn\u2019t work out. \u201cYou know, you think you\u2019re going to spend the rest of your life with somebody, and you don\u2019t,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n Kelly filed for divorce from Brandon<\/span><\/a>, 46, in June 2020 after seven years of marriage, citing \u201cirreconcilable differences,\u201d <\/span>Life & Style<\/span><\/i> confirmed at the time. They were both declared legally single in August 2021, but their divorce proceedings<\/a> continued until March 2022. The tense legal battle resulted in Kelly gaining primary custody of their two kids, River Rose, 9, and Remington Alexander, 7. However, it was ruled that Brandon would get the kids one weekend per month. The judge also ordered Kelly to pay her ex $45,601 per month in child and $115,000 in spousal support until January 31, 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n Amid their divorce, <\/span>Kelly sparked romance rumors<\/span><\/a> with fellow country singer Brett Eldredge<\/strong> when the two duetted on a Christmas song, \u201cUnder the Mistletoe,\u201d in October 2020. However, Brett, 37, finally put the rumors to rest in a March interview with <\/span>Hello!<\/span><\/i><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cYeah, those [rumors] always come. It\u2019s crazy but it\u2019s just people I love to make music with,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ve been very fortunate to get to work with incredible women, and just powerful human beings and great people too, and to get to share the stage with them, it\u2019s a dream.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n For her part, Kelly spoke about her friendship with Brett in her Live, revealing that they\u2019ve stayed in touch and she \u201cloves\u201d him. She also said she would love to perform with him again.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI like him so much.
