Paige DeSorbo<\/strong><\/a> did not expect for more Summer House<\/em><\/a> drama to emerge after filming wrapped on season 8 \u2014 until Carl Radke<\/strong><\/a> and Lindsay Hubbard<\/strong><\/a> called it quits.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is so interesting because this summer definitely was very different from any other summer we\u2019ve had,\u201d Paige, 30, said on the Thursday, September 28, episode of \u201cThe Toast\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cWe had a great time this summer to the point where we actually said \u2014 during the last day of filming \u2014 like, \u2018What is our reunion going to be like?\u2019 Because it was copacetic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paige said the recent season largely ended on a high note, adding, \u201cObviously, there was some drama, but it wasn\u2019t so deep and so dark that we were like, \u2018I will never speak to that person again.\u2019 It was chill drama that normal people have and we thought there was going to be nothing [else].\u201d<\/p>\n

Two days after cameras stopped rolling, news broke that Carl, 38, and Lindsay, 37, ended their engagement.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFilming is well underway for Summer House season 8. Throughout summer 2023, the Bravo stars have been spotted partying and filming in the Hamptons following the drama that ended last season. Lindsay Hubbard confirmed that production on the reality show had resumed in July 2023 when responding to a fan\u2019s Instagram comment. At the time, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThen literally 48 hours later we were like, \u2018Pardon?\u2019 [I found out] on the internet like everyone else,\u201d Paige shared. \u201cNo one was there. I don\u2019t even really know the details. I just know I found out through the internet and texted Amanda [Batula] and she was like, \u2018Call me.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed on August 31 that the couple, who were set to tie the knot in November<\/a>, had split. \u201cLindsay was 100 percent blindsided by the engagement being called off, but it was a long time coming for Carl,\u201d a source exclusively told Us at the time. \u201cHe wasn\u2019t in this relationship emotionally for a while.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a second insider teased that the aftermath of the breakup would play out on Summer House<\/em><\/a> season 8, saying, \u201cOnly producers knew this [breakup] was coming.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans quickly questioned whether the split was a ploy for promotion<\/a>, but Bravo executive producer Andy Cohen<\/strong><\/a> swiftly shut down the speculation.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke have been through it all on Summer House \u2014 from breakups to makeups and more \u2014 before calling off their engagement in August 2023. When the series premiered on Bravo in January 2017, Hubbard and Radke were part of the OG cast of Summer House and have since returned for [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201c[Their split] wasn\u2019t planned. \u2026 I don\u2019t like to see couples breaking up,\u201d he said on SiriusXM\u2019s Radio Andy<\/em> show. \u201cI get the sense that there was a lot happening between them as the season was progressing \u2014 from what I have been told from production. And you will see it all playing out on the show. I love when people come together and fall in love. So I root for all these couples.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carl subsequently broke his silence in a message to his and Lindsay\u2019s wedding guests.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWords cannot possibly express how difficult the last two weeks have been for Lindsay and I,\u201d he wrote earlier this month. \u201cWe are so incredibly sorry to all of our guests for the confusion and lack of communication. We were left trying to figure out how this all exactly happened before we could even have the opportunity to determine the path forward amongst ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carl added: \u201cThere have been a lot of false narratives and misunderstandings that have made this all the more painful but sadly at this time we are not moving forward with the wedding. The fact of the matter is Lindsay is devastated and I\u2019m crushed with how all this transpired. I graciously ask for some patience and grace to heal and recover while we navigate this extremely difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a statement of her own, Lindsay made it clear that she wasn\u2019t the one to end their engagement.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWhat happens in the Hamptons rarely stays there \u2014 at least when it comes to the cast of Summer House and their romances. In fact, some of the show\u2019s biggest stars, including Lindsay Hubbard, Carl Radke and Luke Gulbranson, have a history of dating their costars. Lindsay, who has been on the show since season [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe last 2 weeks have been the most heartbreaking and emotional weeks of my life. My entire life and future was ripped out from underneath me and I\u2019ve had a hard time making sense of it all \u2013 with no answers or closure on why. I feel humiliated by how it went down, and simultaneously heartbroken that it happened in the first place. My trust has been betrayed, and coming to terms with that has been difficult for me,\u201d she wrote via Instagram on September 14. \u201cI do not agree with quitting a relationship (at this level) without trying everything possible first.\u201d<\/p>\n
