Feeling the love! Jay Shetty<\/strong> was honored to officiate Jennifer Lopez<\/strong><\/a> and Ben Affleck\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> second wedding ceremony \u2014 but he had some trouble holding it together.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe No. 1 thing that was going through my mind was, \u2018Don\u2019t cry, don\u2019t cry, don\u2019t cry.\u2019 Because I\u2019m a full-on crier,\u2019\u201d Shetty, 35, told Variety<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Wednesday, February 1.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u201cI was just talking myself down. So I had to just pull myself together because \u2026 every part of me just wanted to sob full of love.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Lopez, 53, and Affleck, 50, tied the knot three times in summer 2022 \u2014 with their second set of nuptials taking place in Georgia surrounded by their family and friends. Over 150 guests attended the event at the Argo<\/em> director\u2019s estate including longtime pal Matt Damon<\/strong><\/a>. The couple\u2019s children \u2014 Max and Emme, 14, whom Lopez shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony<\/strong><\/a>, and Violet, 17, Samuel, 14, and Seraphina, 10<\/span>, whom Affleck shar<\/span>es with ex-wife Jennifer Garner<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 also joined in on the celebration.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Prior to the August 2022 nuptials, the lovebirds made their union official in a small ceremony in Las Vegas.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,\u201d the\u00a0<\/span>Selena<\/span><\/em>\u00a0<\/em>star wrote in July 2022, just hours after\u00a0<\/span>Us Weekly<\/span><\/em> confirmed that the pair had obtained their marriage liscense. \u201c[The wedding was] exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Following the low-key ceremony, an insider told\u00a0<\/em><\/span>Us<\/span><\/em>\u00a0that the duo planned to have a bigger party\u00a0<\/span>with a larger group of their friends and family, noting that their choice to elope was a long time coming.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cJen and Ben have talked about eloping for months now and it felt right for them<\/a>,\u201d the insider told\u00a0<\/span>Us<\/em> at the time<\/span>. \u201c[They] have both already had big weddings beforehand, so the pageantry isn\u2019t as important to them as it once was.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Lopez and the Good Will Hunting<\/em> star were first engaged between 2002 and 2004 before they called it quits. The twosome rekindled their romance in May 2021 following the \u201cLet\u2019s Get Loud\u201d singer\u2019s split from then-fianc\u00e9 Alex Rodriguez<\/strong><\/a>.
